Disney Store CM?

I am thinking of getting a job at my local Disney Store for the holidays - what kind of perks are there? Is it trues that you get free park passes?

I am not sure on the discount, but i believe when the childrens store took over TDS they also did away with free passes. If you get a job at TDS,it will be a plus. I have been there three times and three times the cms were very rude and they rolled my shirts, threw them in a bag and when i asked for boxes, OMG. It was like pulling teeth, LOL I also believe some of the quality is not there anymore. But good luck if you get a job there, like i said it will be a plus for them.

Disney sold off The Disney Stores. World of Disney in New York is still owned. Not sure, since they aren't owned by Disney anymore, if there are going to be perks like free passes.

We just had this conversation yesterday at our NFFC chapter meeting. Apparently, TDS employees are no longer affiliated with Disney in any way and receive no CM perks as they are not CM's. It is a totally seperate company now.

I started PT seasonal employment at TDS at the beginning of November. I was only told of a merchandise discount in the stores, no mention of park passes. I did ask about purchasing tickets, there is no discount.

You get 3 one day tickets. They are not hoppers

Seasonal employees (no longer considered cast members) do not get the park hoppers. Even if you did, you have to pre order them and they can only be picked up at the parks. The only perk is the 30% off while you're working there. It used to be worth it get a seasonal job there. Not sure what the starting rate would be, depends on where you live, i guess. It sure isn't like it used to be.

I just looked into the job and asked what perks came with it, specifically park passes. I was told that they are owned by Childrens Place and that they get no park specific perks, only store discounts.

I called Disney World the other day and was making reservations and I asked the Cast Member about this. She told me the Disney Store is no longer affiliated with Disney World and that there are no "Disney World" Perks. She said there may be "Disney Store" perks, but they do not help you at "Disney World". I was bummed , becasue I figured I would get a Part time job there to help me with my Disney spending.

Regular Part-time TDS CM's receive a 30% Discount on Merchandise at TDS and 10% Discount on DVD's & CD's at TDS. They receive no Merchandise or Hotel Discounts at WDW or DL. They are allowed 3 - 1 Day Hopper Passes a year that expire 12/31 of each year. They have to be requested in advance and then picked up at the park. They then can be used by the CM or anyone they want to give them to.
