This was at The DIsney Store in Wilkes Barre, PA (Wyoming Valley Mall).

Is she correct?

Wow.

I wanted to buy the voucher to show at check in for my AP rate.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

Anyone buy an AP at TDS in Allentown, PA lately? Maybe I will try there.

Thanks.......

Bought mine at the Disney Store in Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, NJ about a week ago without any trouble. It was the last one, but the CM said they would get more in shortly...

My understanding is that most but not all Disney stores sell annual passports. Based on the information I'm reading, the person at the Disney store who told you this was misinformed. You can also purchase annual passports on WDW's website or by calling 407-wdisney. You will receive a voucher in the mail that must be activated at any WDW ticket window or Guest Relations window or at the Guest Relations offices at Downtown Disney or Downtown Disney West Side.

Just bought my AP voucher the other day at Hamilton Mall store - they had a slew of them ! I would call the other stores near you and double check, maybe some stores just don't sell them, or maybe the rules actually have changed in the last day or two. Don't know what possessed me to get it done, but I'm glad I did!:smooth:

I'm buying some for my kids for xmas. On Friday, I asked the CM at the Disney Store in Harrisburg, PA and she said they sell them here. She even got out the book and quoted me the exact price.

We have a Disney Store in Arlington, TX. I asked the cm about the effect of the Children's place and she said they are not moving and everything is staying the same.

In the past, I have purchased an AP voucher from TDS at the Lehigh Valley Mall. I'd recheck with a manager at your local store (did they close the one in Scranton?), then call the TDS here before traveling to purchase.

HTH!

Glad to hear that!! :p I live in Bedford and the Disney Store in the NorthHills Mall closed about a year or so ago I believe and I will be needing to go to Arlington to get ours as it is the next closest!!.. I used to visit this one when I lived a little closerby that mall.. I love the DisneyStore!:p :p :p

Come on up to the Steamtown Mall store in Scranton. We got our vouchers there last April.:wave2:

I called my Disney Store about a month ago and asked the same question...and I got the same answer as you. No, we don't sell annual passes...

We decided to wait till we get to Disney to buy them. There is really no advantage for us to purchase them earlier. Besides...its one less thing to worry about loosing! :p

For me the advantage was a budget issue -- rather than having the whole vacation to pay for at once (in December, no less!!), my $1400 for passes is already paid for and behing me now. As for losing them, I worry a little bit about this, but if you buy them at the Disney store, thye give you a printed receipt that can be used to replace lost tickets. Some people also copy the back of the passes/vouchers as recoerd in case they need to replace them.

Hope that helps!

I am a DS CM and we do sell AP vouchers. They are not out on stage like the regular PHPs. A manager has to get them out of a locked drawer. But we do have them just ask for a manager. Also, we have been told that we will continue to sell park passes after the close of the sale to TCP.

Not sure how things may have changed, but we bought our APs at this same store at the Valley Mall last March (2004). Did you ask for a Manager? I know many of their CMs don't even know how to apply our DVC Member discount there. I always ask for a Manager.
