Looks like early trading in DIS is down slightly this morning. Odd result.
Exactly my thoughtsI came close to buying stock during the shutdown, but it didn't get low enough for me to buy. Still should have
Sounds good. I was contributing a lot to this thread because it seemed like it was just fun to watch the stock go up as part owner of the magic!Since I didn't see a dedicated thread to the earnings call this quarter, I'm going to rename this thread Disney Stock News & Earnings, . Maybe we'll be able to pull in the wider discussion that's happening on other threads.
I avoid the market watch kinda stuff. DIS is going to go up and down a little (all a crap shoot), but continue to go up long-term. I pull out and put back in part of my DIS solely based on the direction it is going. It’s been really easy to make money that way. It’s really just gambling though.
If only I bought more when I started this thread in Dec.
A 33% gain in less than 3 months...not bad for a company that's been around for a century.
I had the opposite thought. As a long-term investor, I thought it was way undervalued due to the Covid panic, and bought up 100 shares. It's been a nice year! And I was thinking when they were down at the beginning of the pandemic that it was still an expensive stock at clsoe to $100 and it would never go up that much...![]()
