Disney Springs to Magic Kingdom?

If we are eating dinner at Disney Springs on Saturday night in October at 6:30 (either Homecoming or Morimoto Asia), if we take an Uber after over to Magic Kingdom, what's a reasonable time you think we'd get there by? MK should be open until at least 11 on a non-party night.

Thanks!

There is no drop-off location at MK for anything other than Disney transportation.

This may be one of those times when a Disney bus may offer you a better outcome.

Your quickest options are probably to have the driver drop you at the Contemporary so you can walk to MK, or walk to SSR and grab a bus to MK.

First one, you can do in well under an hour. The second probably a little longer (since dependent on bus runnings).

The security procedures may not allow a drop-off at Contemporary.

You have to get past security to get to the door - this requires a room or dining reservation at Contemporary.

But assuming you get dropped at Contemporary, by the time you've completed even that short walk to MK - I'm not sure any (much) time would have been saved versus waiting for the bus.

After my, admittedly long ago, disastrous DTD bus rides...I'd choose anything but. I'd Uber to any monorail resort and monorail to MK because the wait for a bus felt eternal and was at least 30 min. My experiences were a few years ago but even if it took a similar amount of time, I prefer to be moving than waiting. Maybe DS bus service is better, now?

Hey, I may have been mistaken - not sure there are buses from DS to MK, just from MK to DS (after 4pm?).
Right there are no buses from DS to any parks, just the after 4:00 service to DS you mention.

There will be no security issues with a taxi drop off service at the Contemporary. Anyone can visit resorts.
It could potentially be much faster because once you walk to SSR you really don't know how long you will wait for a bus to MK.

We've taken a taxi to Contemporary several times and asked to be dropped off outside the entrance and walked to MK from there. Still permitted unless Disney changed something that I didn't hear about.

Thanks all! Will either Uber or take bus to Contemporary. We will have no fast passes scheduled for the night, more just wandering around so no pressure. :)

When we were there in late March we took a taxi to Contemporary, right before they stared the new security system (it was easier then having to wait for a few buses to pass since my mom was in a wheelchair and there was already a big crowd at the bus stop before we got there). Our driver did mention that during busy times the security will stop you and ask if you have reservation at the resort since they know that many people use this as a stop off. We didn't have an issue but just as a side note for you incase they do stop you my guess is you could just say that you are having some drinks at the resort and explore. Have a great time

Seeing issues with the Contempo drop off method on another board today, fyi

Worst case you could take a cab/Uber to Grand Floridian and jump on the monorail I suppose.

What type of issues?
I was under the impression that you must be allowed access to Contemporary to gain access beyond the security gate.

If you do not have a room there or do not have a dining reservation, you cannot just drive up to the front door to get a look around....because I have been stopped at security gates every time I have arrived in a vehicle.

If you're not necessarily in a rush and would like to check out the scenery, you could Uber to Wilderness Lodge and take the boat to MK.

If the OP will take the time to do this, may as well just go right to TTC and ferry to begin with
