Disney Springs Restaurants and Disney Gift Card

Hi some family members are moving right near Disney. They love a few restaurants at Disney Springs like Jaleo, Art Smith, Boathouse, Polite Pig, etc.
want to buy them a gift card will a Disney Gift card be accepted at all these or do I have to choose a restaurant and buy them one for that particular restaurant

I know the boathouse takes Disney gift cards. I assume the others do but we always buy Disney GCs at target and use them for meals
