I am struggling with wanting to drop going to Disney springs and just go to MK before the party. With logistics of getting there it could be 2pm before I make it to springs and I want to try and be at MK gate by 6 for Christmas party entrance ...

My biggest reason for wanting to go to springs is it just doesn't feel complete unless I go look at all the stores! Lol! Is it a waste of my time to head to Disney springs? I'm not sure I can fit it in on another day .

Springs is never a waste of time. It will be less crowded during the day so you can get your fix of stores quick before heading to MK.

But if you want to give yourself time to breath before MK, head to DS after your day at HS. HS closes at 9 and if Fantasmic (best nighttime show IMO) is still cancelled, you may as well leave the park before everyone else and head to DS. DS stays open till 11 or midnight most nights and week nights aren’t too busy. You could also get a late dinner reservation to make it last a little longer. Plus - Disney Springs has better dinner options than HS.

I would do a monorail loop and explore the resorts along the way before your MK after hours event and skip Disney Springs.

It probably is a waste of time going to Springs unless you're eating or there's a specific shop you want to go too. I might even move going to springs the day you're leaving.

I'm a big fan of variety, and between having two other trips to MK including an after hours event where you'll be able to do a lot in a short time (assuming you move quickly), I'd stick with Disney Springs.
