Disney Springs Lime Parking garage and the new Disney Springs bus terminal will open May 15th. There was a town center preview today that announced this. The marketplace bus stop will also close this day.

Here is a list of stores that will open May 15th.

A new sign also went up for the Edison in the landing area that says it will open Spring 2017.

Thank you! My Disney Springs evening is planned for May 16th. Guess I'd better be ready for some crowds.

The new parking garage is opening already? Dang. They moved super quick with that one like they did the other. I was there in February and I didn't think the new parking garage would be open until later this year

Yes it's been progressing quite well.

I'm planning on being there bright and early on the 15th, probably be periscoping along with all the other bloggers :)

I am looking forward to Homecoming opening. Is there any idea when that might open?

I think most announced locations are supposed to open between May 15th and July unless otherwise specified.

I guess I have been completely oblivious lately. I tend to do that when there's no Disney vacation on the horizon. I didnt realize there was going to be an actual mall there. With lots of nondisney stores inside.

Not sure I'm thrilled about that. I like that Disney gives me a reality free bubble to vacation in and I enjoy not having a great deal of real world places to pop me put of my bubble. I know my two cents aren't worth anything just venting to vent.

I can't remember if that's going to be a permanent thing or not? Do you know?
It really hasn't been stated one way or another. The marketplace bus stop will close on the 15th but what happens to it after that seems to be up in the air. Some have speculated that it might be a drop off area for taxis and such.

OMG! I was ready for Sephora, but MAC and Kate Spade too?!?!!

I need more money......:p

Is the new bus stop area larger than the Marketplace stop? The current one is so small and chaotic!

I can't wait to see Disney Springs.

Last time I was there it was still Downtown Disney.

Hoping for better bus stops.

The new bus loop is huge. If you remember the old DTD it covet the area of parking spaces between World of Disney and Planet Hollywood. I don't think they need the old bus stops anymore

They want people to stay at Disney and not go to the outlets or the Fla Mall. The Landing looks beautiful so even though it's, in theory, going to be like a mall it has the Disney touch.

The last time we were there was in August 2015, and the whole area was pretty chaotic. I am very much looking forward to visiting Disney Springs this summer, and seeing how it looks now that it is much closer to completion.

There's been non Disney stores there for years. And adding more is just a benefit for those that don't have their own car and take Disney transportation to get there. A lot of those people don't rent a car so Disney providing a great area for shops and restaurants is a win win for everyone IMO.

And for anyone that doesn't like the idea of tons of shops and restaurants, they never even have to drive by or see it and can just stay at the parks
