We're going to be in the Orlando area for just one night and we're thinking about heading over to Disney Springs to check things out (get some takeout) on Friday, March 12th, and then head back to do some shopping first thing in the morning on the 13th. I just found out that this is apparently spring break for a lot of Floriday so, was wondering what sort of crowds we might see at Disney Springs during Friday night and Saturday morning. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Reports have been consistent that Friday and Saturday nights are routinely packed. Mornings not so busy, as some restaurants aren’t open til noon or dinner.

I like your plan! As long as the crowds don’t have you elbow-to-elbow with others on Friday night, it is lots of fun to stroll, take in the free entertainment, and have something to eat. Arriving at opening time on Monday to shop gives you time to appreciate DS in the light of day. It is very attractive in many areas. I’d probably be there early and pick u a light breakfast or even just a coffee to enjoy by the lake. Of course, Gideon’s Bakehouse would be screaming my name...LOUDLY...I can just about hear it now from Canada.

We definitely plan to make 2 visits (at least) to DS on our next trip. A few years ago, DD and I did a Mom & Daughter trip, and despite our fatigue at the end of most park evenings, we’d still find ourselves ending up in DS on our way back to our offsite resort. We loved to end our days with a late snack at Amorettes, and just watch whatever was going on around us.

Thanks for the replies! I just realized I mistyped in my original post and want to clarify we would be going back to shop on Saturday morning, not Monday.

I watched a live stream of Disney Springs last night and I don’t think we’ll be heading there Friday night, looked way too crowded for us. Maybe we’ll get quick service at one of the resorts or door dash something. Any good recommendations for takeout/DoorDash around the Disney area.
