The skit was called Debbie Downer with Rachel Dratch playing Debbie. If it's not aparent by her name, she basically brings happy people down.

The skit was not spoofing Disney at all. Basically it proved that Debbie Downer could bring down high spirits, even at the happiest place on earth Disney World.

The skit took place at a fake Disney restaurant, with people in the background wearing Mickey Ears, and characters walking around such as Tigger, Snow White, Pluto and Cinderella. The main table where Debbie sat with her realitives was served Mickey Waffles. The opening line was said by Seth Myers. "Boy, I'm so glad we came here on the Magical Gatherings Package!" So Disney kind of got to plug their newest package.

Throughout the remainder of the skit, one person would say something like, "Lets go on Space Mountain today!" And Debbie Downer would say in a sulking manner, "Did you know 3 people died on rollercoasters over the past 10 years." (I don't remember her exact words, but that's close.

All of Debbies relatives were tired of her attitude, so they got up and left her at the restaurant.

It was so funny! The SNLers were cracking up because of this funny sound effect music... every time "Debbie Downer" would say something depressing, there would be a "Waaa, waa, waa" sound in the background and they would pull in to an extreme close-up of Rachel Dratch with a "woe-is-me" look on her face!!!

I was laughing until I cried watching them try to keep a straight face...

I was dying , they couldn't stop laughing and neither could I!!

I also thought the Harry Potter skit was great too!

I caught that skit and thought it was pretty funny.

I love it when the cast is cracking up and trying so hard to keep a straight face.

HEY! Is someone making fun of me? :teeth:

I have been falling asleep during SNL since its debut:sleep:

The waa, waa, waa music did it for me. That skit was too funny.:teeth:

I loved that whole show, indeed rare these days. It looked like the cast was glad to get that one Disney skit over with ASAP once they couldn't keep from laughing.
