Disney Snowglobes

I am very upset as I have been collecting Disney snowglobes through the years. I notice each snowglobe has developed a large bubble on the top. I contacted somebody and they would repair for a large fee plus shipping. I thought the globes were airtight. To repair, they must break the glass, refill with liquid, then replace the glass. Do any others collecting snowglobes have this problem, too or is it just me? Should I leave them alone or get them repaired?

I have four Disney snowglobes, all given to me by relatives as gifts over the years. All of mine have air bubbles, and I know for certain that at least one of them had air bubbles when Disney shipped it. It seems Disney doesn't consider the bubbles a defect: http://www.billbam.com/disdisonwata.html

yeah.. most of mine have bubbles also... and I have about 30...
although I try to buy them without when in person, those that
are from the catalog always seem to have them!

I don't think it really matters... I just hope that they don't
get too hot in Arizona and start to evaporate.

After I was a CM for a few months we were told that any globe with a bubble the size of a dime or smaller was acceptable and we should not mark it out of stock and destroy it. About a year after that Disney decided that a quarter was now acceptable then they started adding all the fancy things on top of the globes to (IMHO) hide the bubbles.

I don't have many but the few I do are in good shape. Course they have not been on display much but that should shange shortly.

You guys are the greatest! All the Disney snowglobes I purchased were in person with no air bubbles: now they all have them. I thought I was the only one with this problem. Thanks for your input; I'll just have to ignore the bubbles; it's ridiculous to have them repaired for $100 each and then the bubbles will re-appear. Through the years, Disney has issued some great globes. I wish I had the space to display but I have a small apartment.
