Disney snacks

Besides fruit snacks (my DD does not like them) what other Disney themed snacks can you think of to take on the plane? We are going with another family with two DD's, so we will need lots of snacks.

How about packing some of the Disney theme cereals in snack sized ziplic bags. You could even make a trail mix with the cereal by adding some pretzels, small crackers, raisins and maybe a few M&Ms.

I am going to buy a Disney Lunch box..just for the trip. And fill it with a PB&J sandwich.*which I will use a MIckey Mouse cookie cutter to make the mickey head shape out of*, add a ziploc bag of trail mix..with peanuts, m&m's, chex mix, and raisens. A bannana. And a Juice Box. I even bought a small toy at the Disney store for our dd so that its My Disney version of a Happy Meal.

ALso, not disney themeed..but good snacks are the cracker sandwiches, or plain animal crackers. my dd loves them!

Wal-mart has Disney shaped cheese! Just pack in a cooler. Any fun shaped crackers. What about taking fruit loops and use the thin rope candy as string and let them make necklaces they can eat. Lunchable are good. Something chewy is good for take off and landing.

We got Winnie the Pooh graham crackers last time. They were a hit with my 2 year old.

I just checked my store and they don't have them anymore. Sorry.

I had a Mickey Mouse party for my twin boys' 2nd birthdays in April. I was having a hard time finding Mickey Mouse snacks so I made my own. I bought a Mickey Mouse ear mini cake mold on eBay. It makes six treats at a time. I made rice crispie treats, but you could use cake batter or cookie dough, or whatever else you can think of. I also bought a chocolate mold of Mickey's head at a local cake & candy supply store. I made chocolate suckers. (You may need to be careful of melting in the heat)
Lastly, I purchased a Villaware Mickey Mouse cookie maker. It makes pizelle type cookies. They would travel well.

You could put Disney stickers on your own zip lock bags. Then make any treat you have a "Disney" treat. Nemo stickers could turn fishy crackers into "Nemo" crackers.

We are able to the Hundred Acre Wood 100% juice, in juice boxes. I have also bought winnie the pooh fruit snacks as well as the small cracker snacks.

Thanks for the great hints. We have 6 children, so I'm always interested in something healty and inexpensive that we can bring to disney or just pack in the lunch boxes.

I found Pooh snacks in the fall at Big Lots which tells me they must have been discontinued.

If you check stores like that and dollar stores you can sometimes find some good Disney stuff.

Our Walmart just started carrying Mickey and Minnie sugar cookies in the Deli/Bakery area. When you get to Disney you can buy Mickey shaped pretzels for a very reasonable price in most of the gift shops. They were a hit with my DS9 and DD4.

How about putting Disney stickers (found at most dollar stores, Target, Walmart, etc.) on the wrappers of non-Disney themed snacks like granola bars, cereal bars, peanut butter or cheese crackers?

I just had the idea today to put stickers on the sides of the individual sized Pringle packs. The packs are red so they really fit with a lot of Disney themes.

At Home Depot they have the Disney color paint samples. Some are shaped like Mickey's head. These can be used for a lot of different things.

For example, hodge podge them onto a plain reusable water bottle.

You could also use them to play "Find the hidden Mickey" in your hotel room.

I bought a Mickey mold on eBay and made rice crispie treats on a stick. They were very easy and were a big hit. They don't keep well...just a few days so probably not a good thing to pack for a long trip. You could eat them on the way down or as a treat when you get to your hotel.

I am going to try using cookie dough in them. I will let you know how they turn out.

I found three great "Disney" snacks at Dollar Tree(GA) the other day. They were bags of cookies
1)Mickey Mouse head shaped cookies vanilla face part/chocolate ears
2)Tigger ice cream cone shaped cookies
3)Mickey head shaped "teddy graham" cookies

I also printed on sticker paper and made "Madalyn's Princess Water" labels and put then right over the bottled water labels. Then my daughter decorated them with princess stickers. You could put homeade labels on anything and decorate with stickers !
Dollar tree also had Disney theme ABC stickers.
