it was 98 degrees last weekend and the skyliner rides we took always felt cool. the air flow is awesome. What I was disappointed in is how often the skyliner was shut down due to rain and or wind.

If you are staying at one of the skyliner connected resorts, don't expect to be able to rely on the skyliner working more then 70% of the time.

And during the covid time, the waits are way too long. one family per car is not how the system was designed. When cars are going out without being filled to the 8-10 person capacity, the stations quickly get over run with guests. So many issues right ow make the skyliner not a very viable option for transportation.

For safety the don’t run in unsafe weather conditions. For safety during COVID-19 they are practicing social distancing and allowing one family per car. Prior to the Skyliner opening people got to the parks other ways. Your choice is stay away during bad weather and the pandemic or have patience and enjoy the Skyliner.

What was the longest you waited to board, when the Skyliner was running normally?

Have they resumed using the separate boarding area for wheelchairs?

Pretty sure bus lines are longer than before, too. The need to distance in line and on the bus/Skyliner/etc. tends to have that effect.

The lines at Epcot and CBR were overflowing when I rode pre-Covid, though the line does move fast.

A month ago, it depended on the station or the cast member for wheelchairs. one station I went through used the separate loading area and two used the regular loading area. I (non-wheelchair) did not have much of a wait at that time but I also did not ride at park opening.

This time of year, rain usually comes in the form of thunderstorms. You do NOT want to be suspended up there during a thunderstorm. I'm sure the Skyliners are protected from lightning, but still not a fun place to be when it gets ugly.

This is how they were operating when we were there last October, pre-Covid. Perhaps they loaded them up during a peak time like Christmas week, but in October which is moderately busy, it was just DH and I in a gondola every time we rode. As PP mentioned, we often found that the lines appeared long but they are continuously moving so we made it on quickly.
