There can be balance issues. At ski resorts, with the hill being a factor, if someone is downloading, they often have to slow the whole line down while the passenger downloads. Routinely loading both ways, if there is an imbalance in people riding in one direction, they will start to offset that. Either buy sending empty cabins from the busy side, or adding weight from the light side. Sending empty is the far easier thing to do.
My wild guess is a load sensor was tripping causing a fault, and needed to be adjusted. In the early stages there is going to be a steep learning curve for the maintenance techs. This is part of it.
I think the many stoppages will also reduce over time, but not be eliminated. I think the riviera stop will likely generate most of those, it's the nature of that type of station.
I'd be curious for those that experienced multiple stops on one ride, to report which line the stops were on. I'd think it would be far lower on the cbr-dhs line and the pop-CBR line.
Where at a ski resort, when a new ropeway is put up, you still have experienced folks there. This install has a greater than average rookie staff. Give them a couple of weeks, and they'll start to work through most of this.
I would not be surprised to see the speed increase by the end of october as well, not by a lot, but some.
