Does anyone know what kind of stores carry these? I have found all the different kinds online (Toy Story, Mickey, Princess, Fairies), but I would rather not pay more than I have to. If I could find them at a b & m store in my town, that would be wonderful!

I figured you budget-minded Disers might be able to shed some light on this.

Thanks in advance!

Not sure where you live but I got some at Newbury Comics and Bob's Stores. Some people have reported getting them at Modell's and even at Walmart.

I'm searching for them too. I haven't been able to find disney ones locally. Our walgreens has regular silly bandz and even our gas station has them. Haven't seen them at walmart yet though.

Hi!

I found them at Walmart here in South Jersey - Princess, Fairies, Toystory, Cars and Mickey & Co! Good luck finding them :goodvibes

OK...being from the West Coast, the Silly Bandz craze has not hit us yet. Do you wear these on your wrist? What do you do with them?

Silly Bandz
By Gilbert Cruz Tuesday, Jun. 01, 2010..Who knows why kids like these stretchy bracelets? Who knows why kids like anything? Maybe it's because they're loudly colored. Maybe it's because when they are not worn around the wrist, they can take the form of animals or dinosaurs. Or maybe it's because school is boring and anything — anything — is better than algebra. For that reason, schools in several states (including Texas, Florida and New York) have banned Silly Bandz from classroom, calling them distractions. Some schools have cited safety reasons for their bans — the silicone bracelets can be shot like rubber bands of yore, and kids who wear too many around their wrists at once risk cutting off their circulation. Which is just silly.

How would you rank the "Silly Bandz Madness: Top 10 Toy Crazes?" from Times.com:

All the kids love collecting, trading them.

Our Hallmark stores are carrying the Disney ones, that is in SE PA.
they are 6.99 a pack-yikes
they had 3 or 4 varieites, Cars, Princesses, Classic characters, can't remember what else.

We were just on a Disney cruise and bought the Disney silly bands (classic characters and Toy Story) for $5 on the ship. They also had Cars and Princesses. I would think that is THE most you should pay for the Disney ones (nothing on the cruise is a bargain, lol!) but I had not seen them sold anywhere else, but maybe they are..?? Does Walgreens have the Disney ones??

I paid $5.99 for the Disney ones at Modells. They had Mickey & Friends, Toy Story, Princesses and the Fairies.

They are EVERYWHERE here - in fact we just got back from Disney 2 weeks ago and DS bought some at the studios in a store near the little mermaid show.

All the kids here are crazy for them............. BUT - the end of last year at school they were BANNED - they said they were too distracting due to all the kids wanting to trade them................

Oh I dislike that, use it as a teachable moment. Yes, it is fun to socialize and with cell phones, IM's, etc kids don't really do as much communicating directly with one another as they should. There is a time and place. If we get our work done we can make time to play. Flat out bans on stuff just really annoys me. I love the socailization factor involved with silly bandz, it has kids who usually do not talk to one another talking and sharing...what better outcome could you hope for!?

I am 5 minutes from Newtown....THANK YOU!!!! I never thought to check the Hallmark stores.

I just found Eagles and Phillies ones at the Tullytown Super Walmart.

Ive looked here in Rochester and no Mickey....DARN. Oh well. DD has SillyBanz and they were driving me nuts around her wrist. She was constantly taking them off to show people and then putting them back on etc. I am a teacher so I have had this problem in my classroom also. The kids are great about not trading in the class etc but they want to show them off and after putting them on and taking them off there were many that broke or got lost. I got out an old string of beads and threaded them on for DD. She is now able to wear them on a long necklace so she can "go through " them and not have to take them off. It is and old string of beads that has a "POP CLASP". She still plays with them but she can now show people the ones she has without taking them off and on and off and on and ...well, you get the picture. My daughter is 6 so she can wear the necklace but has srtict instructions to not wear it on the bus or at recess. I wouldnt do this with young children but of course young children would not be playing with silly banz they can choke on

Hey Neighbor...

We got the Disney ones today but I ordered them off Amazon so no help to OP. They are SUPER cute though, worth the money!

My girls got tired of the smaller ones cutting into their wrists so they have them on those backpack clip/keychains, the ones that look like for rock climbing but aren't. They have them all on there andhook them to their belt loops. They look cute and don't hurt.

I just bought some at Wal-Mart yesterday. They were $4.00 a pack. They were located in the jewelry section. 2 different Princess Packs, Cars, Toy Story, Fairies and Mickey & Friends. Good Luck.:)
