Thanks for any help you can provide. I always drive and my friend needs advice. They, husband, wife and 8 year old, will be accompanied by the inlaws and an aunt. They will stay offsite and vacation the week before and after Easter. At 12 days onsite Disney is out of the question and they dont want to switch hotels. They also don't want to share a condo with the parents. They will rent a minvan down there but they don't think that the seniors will keep up all day. What they need is advice on which hotel to stay at that has the best shuttle service to disney. Where does this shuttle take you on site? Does it go to each of the four major parks? As the inlaws are 70 plus the bustle of the allstars at easter I think will be not what they wish besides the $100 a night price. Thanks again.

You're saying these guys want an affordable hotel for l2 days and one that has decent shuttle service so the seniors can come and go as they please.

After Disney buses, the best and reliable shuttles are the shuttles that circulate the downtown disney hotels.

There are some really good deals on mousesavers.com right now for the Hotel Royal Plaza, Courtyard/marriott and the Best Western has just been recently renovated.

Two rooms at any of these hotels would work for them. . Also, some visitors are getting fthe Best Western for $25. nitely on priceline.

Herc..

If it won't be that often, consider taking a Disney bus to DD, then a taxi to the hotel from there. Or if staying in Kissimmee, take a Disney bus to MGM or Epcot and take the taxi from there. Guest Services can call one. Just a thought, since most offsite hotel shuttle services only go to/from the parks about twice a day.

Otherwise, I'd agree with the DD Hotel Plaza Blvd. hotels. From what I 've read, those shuttles run about every 30 minutes or so. There are not likely to be many discounts during the weeks flanking Easter, but it's always worth a try.

If none of this is working for them, they may decide to just drive in together, then return to the hotel in mid-afternoon each day. The grandparents can relax and the parents/kids can take a nap or swim. At that time of year, the parks tend to stay open later so they'll still have time to get a reasonably priced supper offsite and return to the parks with the kids for the evening with the kids.
