together and send them to you in the mail before you get there. I start making them at 180 days out but this last time it took me only 5 minutes to call back and change one! I admit to changing them frequently to get a better time slot or add or drop the number. If you had a print out prior to your arrival you would be able to see all of your ADRs at a glance and finalize any changes/cancellations according to your plans.
Somehow I missed canceling one Thanksgiving day and had two separate dinner reservations.:scared1: If my Mama Melrose ADR hadn't been screwed up I wouldn't have called Dining and ever known I had two at the same time. I was more than happy to give up one. Then I spent 10 minutes going through all of the plans for the rest of the week. I did go to front desk of my resort and ask for a print out of all of the ADRs upon checkin and was told they couldn't do it. Why not have Dining send confirmations of ADRS, that certainly could help the situtation. Just a suggestion

I was able to go over all my reservations over the phone after I juggled them around to make sure I had all days and no duplicates in days or restaurants. They were eveidently able to access them with my phone number. Maybe everyone doesn't know how to or just doesn't want to but I did it on at least 2 occasions.

The trick is to use the same phone number for all dining reservations. Then, when you check in, ask the lobby concierge to print out a complete list of your reservations, keyed off your phone number.

I've done this successfully for our last few WDW vacations. It's a good way to get a complete, up-to-date list, and to make sure your records and WDW's records are the same.

I think you answered your own question...people change ADRs quite frequently.

By my count, there are around 65 table service restaurants at WDW. That's hundreds of ADRs every day, and some people change their ADRs countless times....can you imagine the expense if they sent out a new confirmation every time someone made a change?

We didn't get a mail or email confirm for any dining reservations. We did get a new reservation number for each dining reservation. We also got a reservations number for a VIP seating for Illuminations due to the Japan restaurant not opening on time. All are linked though.

number not my telephone number. Also I suggested getting a confirmation just prior to your arrival maybe two weeks out. I wouldn't be tweaking them at that late date. When I have switched one ADR for another I had to tell them that I have one to cancel and they ask for the reservation number. I don't think they have a screen with all of your ADRs available. They are looking them up individually.
I am not sure why the WL front desk couldn't give me a print out of my ADRs, they just offered me what I had remaining onthe dining plan. Maybe I had a clueless CM.

When they make any reservation for a room, they ask for a phone number and everything ends up being linked. I really don't understand why such a problem. Didn't you write down your reservation numbers? And yes they do have a screen listing all. I didn't know it until the Customer Service person I spoke to when down the list with times and places. I didn't have to give any of my individual reservation numbers.

The front desk does not do this. You have to go to the concierge desk. The CM was correct, she could not do it for you.

First, try calling back now and checking any one of those reservations using just your phone number. Disney will find it. And, while YOU won’t be tweaking your reservations two weeks before you go, that’s not true of everyone. I might. I will, in fact. I’ll be calling back later today. Last time I called, the CM commented, “Oh, my, you have a LOT of reservations”, followed immediately by “Ah, you’ve cancelled a lot of reservations!” :teeth:

Anyway, while it wasn’t an unreasonable suggestion, it’s just not feasible – for the reasons mentioned here, and more. Let’s see… mail gets lost; people may not be traveling directly from home to Disney; people may bring the confirmation for a later-cancelled reservation (but, of course, not the cancellation confirmation) as “proof” that yes they DO have a reservation at Le Cellier at 6 PM on Christmas Eve and no they did NOT cancel it and this is a STUPID computer error and they expect to be seated RIGHT NOW….

It would be wonderful if they could just link it to your res number and include when they send your itinerary. Maybe when you check-in they could say and here is a list of your res.

I was pleased they asked for my cell and they said they wold call if they needed to. Actually we are leaving sep 19 and they did call my cell to tell me the japan res will not open. Since we had to cancel that they offered prefered viewing of Illuninaions.

to Disney asking why ADRs are not available online. They responded to my email but did not really answer my question.

It would seem that Disney would save some time and money by putting these on the internet. I called a couple of weeks before my trip to confirm my ADRs. That took about ten minutes of an agents time. If my ADRs were available on line as my room reservation was that time could have been eliminated.

this was just a suggestion stemming off another thread about cancellations/no-shows limiting the amount of walk ins. Yes I did ask the concierge person who happended to be at the front desk. I just am shocked that other posters would use the eye rolling face towards me as if I didn't have a clue. That is just uncalled for. I was using personal example of how I happen to have two ADR at the same time, it was just a mistake. It wouldn't cost Disney a penny to send out email confirmations and I still think it is a good idea.

Instead of a snail mail, an email would be nice.

People have been hoping for an automated online ADR system for years. Let's keep hoping.

Actually, it WOULD cost Disney some money to send out email confirmations, but I agree with you that it would be money well spent and actually save them money in the long run, because they could fire, er, downsize a lot of call center CMs.

As for the eye-rolling, I learned a long time ago that misinterpreting someones words and emoticons on a message board can lead to lots of stress. The poster you refer to was most likely NOT trying to insult you, and taking it as such is an over-reaction on your part that could lead to bruised feelings that are totally unnessecary.

So next time somebody rolls their eyes at you, just shrug it off.

I don't know if it was because we used a TA last time or were a grand gathering but we got MULTIPLE snail mails (sent to the TA's office) with all our ADR's. I got one letter for each of the 3 rooms we had every week for the last month before we left - so they do send them out.

I could have wall papered a small bathroom with them.

1) You answered your own question.
2) At what point should they send our your list?
. . . when you make them?
. . . when you change them?
. . . when you change them the 2nd, 3rd, 4th time?
. . . 10-days before your leave?
. . . 4-hours before your leave?
3) I don't think there would be a good time to mail.
4) Unless, when they mail them you were locked out from changes.
5) Now, that would be a good thing.
