Not sure why I thought of this because I can barely manage to make it to 11pm on WDW trips. Shouldn't there be a couple of places on property that serve food all night? With tens of thousands of people on site on any given night, surely a couple of strategically located spots could be profitable serving sandwiches, pizza, nachos, etc. :confused3

I absolutely agree! We have the opposite problem. Due to the time difference we just begin to kick it up a notch at 11:00pm. ;)

There are a few hotels (mostly Deluxe/Luxury hotels) that have 24 hour food courts. Swan and Dolphin, The Grand Floridian, Contemporary and the Polynesian all have 24 hour food court service.

With all the extra magic hours-- sometimes stretching to 1-3am surely late nighter folks would EAT when they get back to their resorts. and right now, nada. they can hit a vending machine, thats it.

OMG I know! Last year I can't tell you how many times we wanted to eat after a late night in the parks, and nothing. The thing that seriously annoys me, is that Pop Century's food court is open til midnight. Why do most of the food places shut down at 11:30? If I want a burger at 11:45, I am out of luck.

I have driven through the 24 hour Mickey D's near the All Star Resorts more times than I'd like to admit :rolleyes1

It would be nice if all the resorts offered some kind of 24-hour room service with a limited menu (sandwiches, salads, etc.), even the values with pizza delivery so you could get that at any time at night. The only problem for them is that then they have to pay people to run something like that.

We don't eat late at night at Disney World...we are way too tired and just collapse early!! Maybe this is because we have little ones right now so we go to bed early because they do.

I agree. I wish the food courts stayed open all night. I understand they couldn't keep all the stations open, maybe they could just do the basics like burgers and chicken strips. Or even some preprared sandwiches and things like that in the refridgerated area. If they did that they would really only need to keep a cashier or two.

It's a conspiracy man :hippie: I'm telling you........The man just wants you to go to bed hungry man......:hippie:....and wake up even hungrier, so to buy more of his tasty breakfast items man:hippie:.....I think Pixie Dust gives you the munchies man.....They must have lots of Pixie Dust at Woodstock!!:hippie:

. . . hey, we ran out of food
. . . but, they had granola in dixie cups for breakfast on Sunday
. . . that is the first and last time I have eaten granola!

. . . how many people would really want food that late?
. . . Disney needs volume to operate kitchens
. . . mot people come from the parks late and crash
. . . or eat before they leave the parks

I can see both sides of the coin in this.

But I was very glad we were staying at the Grand Floridian when we went to the Hallowe'en party in 2008. We were pretty hungry when we got back to the hotel at 1am. It was so great to come back to the hotel, go down to the quick service place and grab a couple of personal pizzas (drinks and desserts too since we were on the dining plan).

On our last trip we took a night flight after work and when we checked-in we found that there was absolutely nothing open. We were starving.
I personally would love for the table service restaurants to take 10pm reservations. We usually take the 9:30 but would be just fine with 10pm. That would free up some tables for earlier dinners. It's vacation, staying up late is part of the fun.

Same thing happened to us, went the party, went to the resort, we were starving, and they were closing the QS restraunt so I ended up get some cold stale sandwiches. Yuck.

The resorts could have a vending machine with frozen items, and one with refridgerated items for someone in a pinch. If the rooms don't have a microwave have one next to it so they can at least get something to eat before bed.

eh....pack some Fiber One bars and have a bottle of water - you won't be hungry after that!

I agree that with so many guests coming from different time zones at least room service or pizza would be available. :confused3 The places they can make the money, they pass up. But if it doesn't make a bazillion dollars a year, forget it.
(Guess that's what off site pizza delivery is for. ;) )

I've never really thought about it before, but it would make some sense to keep at least like the grab and go areas open 24 hours. The PP was right, that would really only require a cashier.
