Disney ships not using Disney Terminal

The Wish is the only Disney ship current in port at Port Canaveral. Anyone know why it isn't at the Disney terminal? I have seen this before. I would be kind of disappointed not to return and leave from the Disney terminal when it is not in use.

That terminal is the Wish's home terminal. It's easier to keep it that way since there are dates when there are 2 Disney ships in port it would have to move. It's easier for the crew to only have one terminal to deal with.

Since there are 3 ships porting out of Port Canaveral, they can’t all use terminal 8 - the normal one. The Fantasy and Treasure use terminal 8. The Wish is at terminal 10.

Pros: It's super easy to get in and out of
Cons: It's much smaller and tighter and feels more crowded for boarding~ no boards/screens to see what groups are boarding
It's not as Disney-fied and you can't go outside to see the ship and take pictures, but I feel like you won't really miss it if you don't know what you're missing kind of thing.

We just sailed on the Wish. As someone who hasn't sailed out of the Disney terminal ever, not at all something I missed. We took photos of the ship from the parking garage instead. It still felt very efficient. The Utopia of the Seas terminal was 100x better though.

My one complaint was that they directed us to the regular queue, even after we confirmed we were Castaway Club members and asked if we could go in that line. The CM said no, that they were both the same length and pointed us to the regular line (they were most definitely not). I didn't argue with her because 1) I believed her and 2) arguing is not a way to start a vacation.

They do that at the DCL Terminal too. Been there done that.

I havent sailed out of PC since a year and a half (all fll, southampton and Sidney) but soing in September a Magic side by side Wish b2b Wish. How far is the walk between the tO terminals? Im in a electric wheelchair now and my friend will have to handle both our suitcases (4 wheel spinners€

It's not really walkable.

Ok thanks for the heads up! Gotta see if dcl wants to help us out there cause i can imagine no iber driver wants to do that quick ride when others are waiting to get long rides to the airport or wdw
There have been reports of DCL doing a shuttle for side-by-sides at Port Canaveral. I think it might depend on how many are doing it. You'd have to check once onboard, I think.

you have to wonder what the long term plan is.... I imagine there will be four ships in Canaveral soon enough....

There was a thread on that a while back. Distance isn't the issue, The problem is the route you have to use. Line of sight it's like 100 yards, IF you could go thru restricted areas. Going around all the restricted areas it's half a mile on a street with no sidewalks.
