Disney Shareholder DVC offer

Received our Disney annual report yesterday. Flyer inside packet for DVC offering a "complimentary Disney vacation" when purchasing SSR thru 3/31/06.

Not sure if this is just the old/now-new offer to replace F&F or not.

Did you receive this with your proxy material? I got mine electronically, and haven't received an AR yet. I wonder if I can get access to this, which would be outstanding in that I'm moving to get into DVC at SSR.

Yes, it was inserted in the packet along w/info on Disney Mobile phone service they're rolling out this summer.

I'm in the DRIP, and get everything by email. If I don't get something in the mail in the next few days, I'm a-callin'.

It is a new promotion. I spoke with someone after calling the 800# and she said that a vacation would be comped.

I asked if it just was we would receive our 2005 points and she said no that an actual vacation would be comped but couldn't give me the specifics on how many days or anything like that.

It will be interesting to find out the details.

Chuck - have you registered at the shareholder site? If so, all you need do is log in and change your "account" info.

Sounds like this offer might be comparable to the one when they sold BCV. Friends bought in at that time and received a week at the Poly.

Any idea when this will expire? I'm thinking of buying one share to take advantage of this offer. I'm so bummed I missed out on F&F. This might make me feel better about purchasing.

I remember when we were thinking of signing up last year around this time, they had this offer. By the time we did it, we just got $1500 off our purchase instead because the vacation expired. We actually liked that better at the time since we had a new baby.

I assume you must purchase shares, which is separate from DVC? Any idea what shares are going for these days & if there is a minimum DVC / SSR purchase?

Yes, the Disney Shareholders received this promo. Shares are are $26. You can either buy online or go to the Stockbroker.

The complimentary vacation is a $1500 value.

We have 2 different Disney stockholder accounts. One has just one share (bought as a gag Xmas gift thru OneShare for DH). Joke was on me - he turned around and bought more on his own via a second account.

We received 2 annual reports (waste of postage LOL); and both had the DVC offer (along w/upcoming Disney Mobile service & Visa offer w/comp. MM watch).

So, we think a week's vacation @ a resort for a 150 SSR purchase/add-on w/whatever UY they're selling now? If say October, does DVC give both the '05 & '06's?

For those who have the offer, do you just identify yourself as a Disney shareholder when you call to buy into DVC? And can I still get $1200 off (the current promo in my DVC materials)?

I'm now a shareholder...of one stock, lol! But I won't get my paperwork for 4-8 weeks.
