We went to Disney in Feb 2014 and stayed on property. Recently, we have gotten a few postcards from Disney saying that since we have gone at this time before they were offering for us to stay at a certain % off (not sure what the % is, maybe 10 or 30) during the same time frame.

Any idea if this will be offered to us again? We are thinking of going in Feb 2016 and of course would love to save a little money. Also, if we book our trip BEFORE they send out those postcards any idea if they will still send us one anyway that we can then use?

Thanks!

A good way to get deals is to price out a trip but don't book them. Doesn't work for everyone, but at least they know when you might like to visit.

I have been to WDW about 6 out of the last 8 years, and I have NEVER gotten anything from them to come back  not a post card, pin, or bounce back!! So disappointing :scratchin

Very true.

We have gotten Pins however. DD kept pricing trips for her and her friends on our family computer. Both DH and DS got pins from her search sadly DD who actually wanted the trip did not get one.

My older DD got a pin when she booked FD at WL and then they announced the pool was under construction. They offered her FD at resorts that had not been included in the public FD. She stayed at WL and was glad she did.

If you have a date in mind you can call and ask if you have any pins. not everyone who has them gets notice.

It's been years since I've gotten any offers from Disney. I had some in the past; some we could use, but most we could not. Even pretending to plan a reservation hasn't worked for me. I hope a discount comes through for you OP. Remember, there are always general public offers for many times through the year, so you could always try to take advantage of one of those.

I haven't gotten a PIN (postcard or email) from Disney since 2011. (We went in 2010, 2012 and 2013. I keep hoping they'll send me something to lure me back (we're planning a 2016 trip) but I used to get PINS constantly and then they dried up. I guess they figure I'll be back.

To answer your question:

Yes, if you book and then get a pin or a public discount comes out, you can apply it to your package. If you have paid in full, you will receive a refund. I do this for clients all the time and they love getting the email that says "I just save you XXX amount of $$!"

Thank you for the info. It took me awhile to figure out what PINs you all were getting. :o

Really its random, we go every 2/3 years and get tons of offers. Sometime they are for when we can go, sometimes not. In 20 years of adult family trips I think it around 5 pins that are just for me not the general public. If your going to go every year do their bounce back offers.

If your flexible with your time off and already saving I would wait for offer or call and see if you have a pin under any body in your parties name. Our time isn't flexible I have to have 14 months out to plan time off, which doesn't always work with Disney offers.

If you have a spouse sign them up for MDE (my Disney experience) acct too.

Good luck
