Hi guys and gals, I have bought some pins for my daughter to trade with when we go to Disney World in Florida this year and am a bit unsure if they can be traded. I am sure there are experts out there who would be able to help me with this enquirey.
The pins are listed Pin 7940: The Hunchback of Notre Dame set of 7 and are copyrighted on the back with ©Disney Sedesma S.A.

Thanks for looking.

Officially they can be traded with CMs. This is because CMs with a lanyard are required to accept almost any metal pin with a Disney copyright on it (a few exceptions apply).

However, don't expect any individual trader to accept these pins. I hope you did not pay too much for them (such as more than 50¢ each) because they are not worth much.

It's funny but I like some of those pins. If your kids are having fun trading with Cast members then you go right ahead and trade them.

The problem with them is when the "Big Traders" use them to strip lanyards of the Lanyard Series Pins.

Thanks for the information. My daughter started with the disney pins a couple of years back and whilst she ins't a serious trader she loves to trade with the CM's and so this year I wanted to save a little bit of money by buying pins before we went so she can have a trading allowance kinda thing each day (without forking out top dollar at disney). I must admit that after posting I had a look at her other pins which where all bought/traded at disney and there are a number of sedesma pins which she could only have got of CM's as that is all she trades with. Long story short, you have put my mind at rest in that she will be able to use these to trade with CM's and they cost me about a $1 each so will be some cheep fun for her.

Your daughter probably got the Sedesma's at World of Disney at DTD. I have never seen such an assortment of garbage on cast lanyards in my life! Some CM's had NOTHING but EuroDisney, Sedesma, and broken or damaged pins!

LOL, my kids trade for what they like, and it amazes me sometimes. Last year they intentionally traded for 4 sedesma heynas, 2 "2000" pins, and one son collected every eurodisney pin he saw.

So, when we return this year, the euro boy will be trading most of his away, but hyena and "2000" child still wants his!

Sedesmas are kind of nice for our bulletin boards. Light weight, and we see them everyday. (Unlike the better pins in the bag.) So, in that circumstance, they make me smile.

The name of the game is to trade for what you like, and both of my children treasure a EuroDisney pin that they traded for! The Sedesmas, they traded back though...

Well we just got back from a fantastic two weeks in florida and just wanted to let you know that the CM's traded pins with my little one without any problems what so ever. She had a great time trading and I saved some money so we are both happy and will do the same again next year.
