Disney season dates?

Alright...I'm finding different dates from what I consider to be two very reliable sources. We are planning a trip that has us arriving on 10/4/05.

Mousesavers.com lists 10/4/05 as the last day of a "value" season, while wdwinfo.com lists 9/30 to 10/30 as "regular" season.

As many of you know, this is significant as the rate of your first night's lodging locks you in for the duration of your stay. We are planning to stay at Poly, so it's an even bigger deal for us.

Any thoughts on which is correct? Thanks in advance for your help.

I called Disney and they told me Regular Season begins on 10/05/2005. Value Season is up until 10/04/2005.

Don't forget, there are 2 sets of seasons - one for Value and Moderate Resorts, and another for Deluxe and Home Away From Home Resorts - they do differ slightly.

The dates I have in the above post are for the Deluxe resorts.

Thanks, Misti and IloveWDW. I do know that there are different seasons for the values, mods and deluxe resorts. And I am glad to see that 10/4/05 is a value season date. That will save a little bit of money. Thanks again!
