Disney Scrapbook Ideas

Ok, so you've been there, and now you need to record your memories. As I think about the stack of Disney photos that I want to make into a scrapbook, I was wondering about all of you DISers. I'm also thinking about scrapbooking my upcoming trip when we get home!

If you have done some Disney Scrapbooking, I'd LOVE to see it. (Or even just hear about your themes.) Maybe take a digital photo of your page and post it for all to see? What were your great ideas? I'm thinking of doing a few pages of pictures with characters, but I'm not sure.

I need some motivation to get started on my own!! Kick my rear end into motion with your creativity!

P.S. - I'm laughing because I almost omitted the "s" in the word scrapbook in the title. That would not have been good

A lot of us here get our ideas from twopeasinabucket.com. Do a search on Disney and lots of pages come up. Lifetimemoments.com is another good site for ideas. If you look thru the threads here some people have posted their lay outs, and they do great work. One poster I can think of off the top of my head is Timon, she has a link in her sig. to her pages and I love getting ideas from her work too. Good Luck!

for our last trip we had alot of pictures!! but after weeding through them (many safari animals!!) I had enough for a 8 1/2 x 11 album dedicated just to the trip. so your first thing is to see how many pictures are "good" enough and the figure out which size album to use

I have my opening page with the dates and a postcard of the castle and two little faces with mickey hats on with the boys' names on them. then on the second page I have our first night (hoop dee doo)

then I have a two page layout about meeting captain hook. I didn't have many pictures for it but I had to tell the story of how Hook pushed the pen out of Dylans hand and blamed him and when he went to give it for Hook to sign he was trying to give it to his hook and boy was Captain Hook mad!!! We still laugh about it!

a two page layout with the rest of the charaters that we met and then a another two page layout with PUSH (the talking trash can in Tomorrow land). one page with the story and a handmade PUSH and another with pictures.

then more pages.. I have a page of Ian's first trip (he was in my belly at the time!) and each boy has two pages with pictures from the trip and on the last page (ran out of pictures)I typed up the whole story of the trip and how special it was to our family.

make your album your own. everyone has a different disney story so find want made your trip so special and highlight that part. I know I will have another album for our next trips so I didn't feel that I had to include everything this time around!

I LOVE YOU!!!

IMO we are ALL GREAT "SCRAPPERS"!!! Especially when it comes to Disney Scrapbooking!!! JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF IT! AHHHHH! That's why I keep going back to WDW . . . so I'll never run out of pictures!!!

Oh and I do believe Joy posts her lo's on twopeas also!! Take a look!!!

Just putting in my two cents....
I went to a 48 hour retreat and can you believe, I finished my 2004 WDW trip scrapbook!
some of my favorite ideas were:
~download the disney font for journaling ~disneyexperience. com

~color copy EVERYTHING onto acid free paper and use it for background paper! I copied the maps, a bunch of randomly placed receipts (used that one for pics of our spree to Downtown Disney!) the bandana my daughter got at dinner at the Wilderness lodge, the fan with her name written in chinese from epcot, even her hawaiian mickey dress she wore to ohana! it makes great background paper and everything matches!

~I didn't buy many stickers-just download and print clip-art! one of my favorite sites is ~geocities. com/ disneyclipart

~but my FAVORITE idea was to have my six-year old daughter draw mickey mouse, then we sent it to "Exposures" where they transfered it onto an album cover. it truly is one of a kind and priceless!
