Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting on the Disney Scrapbook board. I went to Home Depot yesterday and I found that Behr Paint now sells DISNEY endorsed paint. So I took tons of the Mickey Ears color swtaches home to use for my Disney scrapbook.

I just wanted to share that, hope this helps.

That's a great tip. I was recently looking at Wal-Mart and saw paint samples and thought I could punch things out of those too - so funny.

Hi Tiger Fan!

I just started w/ this scrapbooking stuff so I'm still pretty new...but I just thought it was a "cheap/free" find for the scrapbook. :p

We bought a DCL scrapbook set on the cruise and now I'm going to start filling it and these paint swatches came in handy! ;)

Good luck with your scrapbook!!!

Did you get a cruise specific scrapbook? Recently? Can you describe it please?

Thanks
Deb

Hi Deb!!!

The Cruise Scrapbook we bought had Mickey and the gang in their island/scuba wear on an island w/ some palm tress. That's the best I could remeber the cover being, I haven't started on it yet. But on the cover, it also says 2002 DCL on it. (we bought it in Dec. of 2002, so on the Cruise it was on sale for $12.00!!!)

It came w/ some Disney Paper and some stickers that were all Cruise/island themed. I don't remember how the new 2003 one looked like though. Since our honeymoon was still consider 2002, we opted to buy the 2002 one and plus it was much cheaper! :teeth:

Do you have the same one? I can't wait to start on it...got any ideas for me? :p

Take care!!;)

I did the 2000 version for our last cruise (our next is in June and am glad to hear they have something). Is it basically 12 x 12?

I know that the last one I did the pages were approximately 12 x 12 but not exactly nor were they perfectly square! So I have one page that is actually in sideways because after it was all done I discovered the difference in dimensions! So you may want to check that out. :p

The other thing I'd be careful of are those freebies you picked up...they probably are not acid free. I've used plenty of non-acid free stuff but try to keep a buffer between it and my photos.

Have fun! And don't feel stuck with totally Disney stuff. There are lots of great cruise/tropical papers and trims at most LSS.

 Thanks for the tip on the "Acid Free" thing Deb!!!

I had no idea that it would make much of an effect, I just started so I'm still learning as I go!

Thanks again for the tip! ;)

I bought from a website "Stickersgalore" some stickers, now I BELIEVE they are acid free...hmm, I should double check tonight though...anyhoo, I bought some "island themed stickers and some Disney stickers to mix it up. I also bought a "travel" the world theme sticker pack for some of our photos in Epcot :p

Can't wait to start, now I'm just gonna try to pick up some more paper for the photos. :teeth:

Thanks again!  :teeth: :teeth:

Timon (another DISer) has a wonderful DCL scrapbook. Here is a link to her website.
