Disney Scene It game way overpriced at DisneyShopping.com

I have been a very good girl, doing my Christmas shopping before it is even December, but I have already been burned once! I ordered the Disney Scene it DVD game from DisneyShopping.com last week. This week I have found it at Toys 'r us, Amazon.com and Target all for almost $23 less than I paid for it. Perhaps I am silly, but I thought buying Disney stuff directly from Disney should be the best deal around. Live and learn.

Anyway, if you are considering buying the game, may I suggest you get it for $26.99 elsewhere, instead of $49.95 from Disney.

That is totally outrageous!!! We bought it for $26.99 -- and it's been that price at Wal-Mart for awhile (even before Black Friday). If you have the receipt and haven't opened the game, you can return it at the Disney Store. I'd def. consider doing that. Paying practically double for it is just insane!

I emailed them to see if they'd be willing to refund the difference, partially because it is a pain to have to ship things back, and partially because this is more than just a couple of dollars difference. They invited me to rueturn the item. According to their emailed reply, "Returns of DisneyShopping.com or Disney catalog merchandise, will not be accepted at Disney Store locations. "

So I have to pay to ship the item back, they have to pay someone to process the return and restock the item and credit my account (likely more than one person), as well as risk alienating a good customer. I'm not sure this was a good business decision for them. I'll be sure to check Target and Wal-Mart for Disney stuff before I look to them again. Oh, and I will warn all of my DisBoard friends!
