Can you purchase Disney Dollars with your Visa reward dollars card? I'm debating how much to put on my card before my trip this summer, if I can buy Disney Dollars I won't have to worry about not spending all that I put on my card before it expires.

It seems that you can do this even though according to the chase.com/disney website -
Disney Dream Reward DollarsSM have no cash or monetary value and may not be redeemed for cash or its equivalent, and any unused portion is not returnable as cash.

And in effect Disney Dollars are cash. But as long as they allow it, I think it is a great way to clear out your Rewards Card so they do not expire.

ok this is my first post, where do I purchase the disney dollars? do I go to a local disney store to get them? we've bought them at Disney world before but I was thinking that I could reward the kids with these until we leave in August for our trip

Yep you should be able to get them at your local Disney Store.

I think Disney Dollars are really GCs- not cash. (You can sort of turn them into cash at WDW)

The difference I see between DD and GC's is that DD you can take and get cash back (or use the new $50 and buy $3 popcorn and get cash back) where a GC you won't get cash back that $3 is deducted from you balance and you now have $47 on the GC.

But hey as long as they let us use the rewards to purchase DD I am all for it.

Yes to commemorate DIsneyland's 50th they have a $50 with Mickey on it.
So they have $1, $5 $10 & $50.
