Disney $$'s for tickets?

Hi everyone,
Just wondering if it's possible for me to use Disney Dollars at Guest Relations to put towards a 2-day upgrade of my "old" Parkhopper Pass (it still has 2 days on it.) I'm assuming money is money but hey, you never know!

Also, are Disney Dollars still widely accepted throughout the parks and Downtown Disney? I'm thinking more for the counter service resturants in the parks and the World of Disney store in DD.

Also, if you are staying on-site, you can turn in all the dollars on arrival at your resort to be applied agains your charges on the "Key to the World". I prefer that to carrying the money or leaving it in my room until checkout

An upgrade works only at the park Guest Services windows. When you buy a pass you can turn in one unused or partially used unexpired pass for credit against the new pass. The value is computed on the price paid for the original pass.

FYI, you can only upgrade 1 ticket per ticket purchase. Unless you have a one day ticket (ie conference giveaway) generally it is not worth upgrading. The value you get is the old cost. Most of the time you are better off using up that pass and than buying what you need.

JMHO
