And I could say that you've come full circle as well![]()
No doubt. Choices is all it is.

As a kid, I could think of nothing grander than staying at the Contemporary and having that view.
If they charge too much it's gonna ruin future potential sales...
And if nobody stays there it will flood the other places where people DO want to stay.
First day with this dvc thing? It's all tied together...sometimes is so tough around here...
I'm a free market capitalist. I can't be against that.Right...but when people started swallowing an extra $200 for one side of comtemporary main...and then swallowed 8 points more a night on one side of the dvc unit...it trickles down and affects everyone in a not positive way.

I get that, but you just said the "Target DVC buyer", my whole point.

Actually the crap views are "fewer" points, not the good views are more.
Greedy swindlers... they have a product people are willing to pay more for and they are therefore charging more. I don't see the swindle.I'm from the rust belt and hate greedy swindlers and kinda raised myself...to each his own...I suppose.
And my whole point is that if $176/point at WL is a sham, it's going to be an even bigger one (my opinion) at CBR. Your mileage may vary
SSR was a dog and it finally sold out. And guess what most guests do there-flood the rest. Buy where you want to stay-New to DVC?

You really talk from your seat sometimes...all the points are tied together and that's not debatable.
Your point was they might flood the other resorts-same as with SSR. How is it different?
Right...and that affects the program for all...unbalanced demand...windows move/change...the rights and privileges are all in the contract...
So this thing where they make a "moderate dvc" and then say it doesn't matter what we build?...
...if it happens...you ain't gonna like it, kid
Don't know what you got till its gone.
It didn't affect me with the much larger SSR. So why would this?
And that's "if" its not popular-remains to be seen.

If you ever tried to travel on shorter notice...and I bet you have...Saratoga absolutely did affect you.
I'd love to hear more about this. Have looked at DVC tons of times, but I hate having to fuss with the math - and also, I can dump points or just pay cash at the Swolphin for an experience I honestly enjoy WAY more - if I bought at BLT, SSR, WLV aren't they all the same points and then you use the points to pay for the place you want to stay? Or, is there a lesser point value for staying at GF for instance if GF is your home resort. I really don't want to be fussed with money when on vacation, so I've never clarified. I'm surely not booking a simple WDW trip super far in advance. Am I missing something on the whole DVC thing? I know you get more room (sounds good) and can buy housekeeping (I would). If these points are cheaper if this its not attached or billed as Deluxe could that be interesting?
That's it? That's what all of this comes down to? Big deal. Not wringing my hands on this one.
