Not sure where to post this so I thought Community would be okay.

The new Disney Club news came today with a page about the new Disney Rewards VISA. Not much detail but it does say, "And if you or your travel agent book a Walt Disney Travel Company package using your Disney's Visa Card, you'll receive a special promotional interest rate for six months."

Doesn't state the promo rate for vacation packages but might be a good deal for anybody who has to put their vacation on plastic. Just thought I'd pass the news along.

Interesting. Thanks for the info.

For the first time in history, there is a credit card that will offer Disney Dream Reward DollarsSM on your Disney's Visa® Card purchases. Disney's Visa® Credit Card from Bank One is coming March 4 and Disney is reserving a special application website and phone number just for Disney Club Members.

Disney's Visa Card will also offer many other magical benefits to all Cardmembers. You can earn Disney Dream Reward DollarsSM on card purchases, and your reward dollars can be redeemed for practically any Disney purchase - from merchandise at Disney Store, DisneyStore.com, Disney catalog Disneyland® and Walt Disney World® -- including Theme Parks, and Disney Cruise Line®. And if you or your travel agent book a cruise package or ticket-inclusive Disney vacation package through Disney Cruise Line® or the Walt Disney Travel Company using your Disney's Visa Card, you'll receive a special promotional interest rate for six months.

All this in a card with no annual fee. Disney 's Visa Card will launch on March 4.

I'm so excited about this! They have a special aplication for Disney Club members to get the card first and it'll be marked with, "Member since Day 1" on the front. Plus, when you make your first purchase with the card, you get a pin!

I NEED this card!

Not enough info for me to get inticed into credit card debt...

What is the APR? I thought I read awhile back it was going to be in the teens. If so, I won't apply for it.

Using a credit card doesn't equal credit card debt. My DH balked at using a CC card at the grocery store but like I told him the only difference is that I pay it 30days later. As long as you treat it the same it doesn't matter.

I'm planning on getting the card, not sure if I'll use it much it will depend on if the rewards are better than the frequent flyer miles I'm earning now. Just got tickets for my parents to fly to visit & other family in KY. I've almost got enough for another 2 tickets and I'm hoping I can get them to agree to meet us in WDW next summer. About the cheapest I've priced tickets for them is $400 each so it has been well worth it.

I just think it'll be cool to have a Disney CC with "Member Since Day 1" on it. Think of how cool that card will be like 50 years from now. Okay, so maybe it might not me that great, but I think it will be cool :)

I wonder how many reward points per dollar. Cannot be one to one, but hope it's not 1 to 100. Otherwise, I'll have to spend $20,000 to get $200 worth of park tickets.

On the other hand, if it's free, I'll definitely go for it.

If they fashion it after some other brand specific cards the rewards maybe different depending on where you use it. If they give 3% for Disney purchases it might be worth it to use there.

I have a Hallmark card that gives 1 point per dollar but there are other ways to earn points also. It adds up pretty fast, it's not a credit card just a reward card.

I'd be suprised if the card has a fee, very few do anymore except for flyer reward mileage cards.
