Disney Rewards Visa offering

We got the $3K offer too. I will continue using my Am Ex Blue because I get $2 cash dollars rather than $1 disney dollar. I'd rather have $60 cash per month if I spend $3K. I was getting tired of the grocery, gas, and travel offers because for some reason they don't count any of the groceries in our area as grocery they all say other even though they ONLY sell groceries and are big chains.

We got the offer with the $3000 limit. We spend more than that (but pay in full each month), so I am glad for the offer. Its better than the last one I had for groceries, gas and plane tickets only. I hope to accumulate some more points since I just cashed in our 504 for our trip last week. It was wonderful to have those points to use at the Boardwalk. I dream of completely paying for a trip some day. Fortunately, we have been able too often to accumulate enough to pay for entire trip. (Family in Orlando) Dh said that we cannot go again for at least a year; maybe I'll have enough with this offer to make the goal. Except we still have our water parks and more benefits on our military tickets to use this summer...

Maybe we'll just eat some 'free' meals at Boma or Chef Mickey's. :thumbsup2

I got the $1,000 offer. I didn't notice that it kicked in after the $1,000. I don't see us using that unless we book a trip with it in the next few months. We don't use the card much but DH used it for all of his Christmas shopping in Nov/Dec guess thats why I got the meduim rate offer, I would have loved the $300 offer.

My DW and I each have one. She has to spend over $800 and I only have to spend over $300. I haven't used my card much- I have one on her account, so we use the same account so I only have to pay one bill.

Another one who has the $3000 threshold. It may be close each month but since we pay everything on the card any to get the 1%, any extra is a bonus.

And, I do think it is tied to how much you use the card. We had reward incentives for all of 2010--it started out with a threshold of $500 for certain categories for the first 3 months, then by the last 3 months, it was a threshold of $1000.

I got one too and at first I thought it was going to be a PIN code but when I saw the $3K amount I tossed it!

Another one with the $3000 limit. Geez. Some months we do that and others we don't. Oh well. I signed up anyway and will see what we get.

I wish I'd get a stupid PIN!!

My offer was 'over $3000'!! :scared1: Are they crazy?

That's exactly what I got. I thought it was a typo because my husband got the one for "over $300". Well thanks but no thanks. We will use his card to pay off our May trip. I had to laugh at it wondering if the disney visa guys thought I was being offered a great deal.

My wife adn I each have a card $3000 for hers $1000 for mine, guess which one we will use for the next 3 months?

I actually posted a question regarding this on the budget boards. I feel lucky that I got a good offer. I didn't realize that they would offer different amounts to each cardholder. Kinda feel like I won the lottery now...

:thumbsup2 I thought the same thing!
"over $3000 per month ?" The only thing we ever put on it is Disney trips for the 6 months no interest or a big purchase that I intend to pay off right away. Guess that's why I got the high offer, we redid our living room last year & I put the carpet & furniture on it instead of my debit card.

Good for those that got the smaller offers! :goodvibes

My offer was $300 and we never use our card.

If I book my trip through a travel agent, do I still get the 6 months no interest promo? DH thinks it will come through as a charge from AAA and not Disney so it won't be eligible. Anyone else do this with success?

Yes, you'll still get the 6 months interest free, as long as the reservation qualifies. You are paying Disney, not AAA. They are just the booking agent. I have booked thru AAA a few times & got the 6 months. It is just as easy to call Disney direct or book online yourself tho. I only book thru AAA if is the only way I can get a discount.

Is that a standing offer for the 6 months no interest? I know we got that for our first trip when our card was new but when I looked on the card's website the other day it was not listed under special offers. Would be great for me if it's ongoing.

Yes, it's one of the standard "conditions" of the card, like the "no annual fee". But it has to be a "qualifying package". I have only booked packages for the last several years (room, tickets & dining plan). I don't think a "room only" reservation would "qualify" for the 6 months interest free. But can't say from experience. :)

Wnat to add: I'm sure all the other conditions : card in good standing, not delinquint, etc would apply to qualify for the interest free, too.

It is based on past spending patterns. I think they target high average or something with the hopes that you will spend more.

In my case also, over $3K. We pay off every month except the trips, and average under $2k. Last fall was high as I paid off a buisness trip with it (no 6months deal), and then charged our Dec. trip.

I've had my card for a while now, but I remember at one time you got 1% back on all purchases, but you got 4% on disney purchases, such as at the disney store. Does anyone know if you still get 4% if you pay off your vacation with the visa?

We got the 3000 limit too. We pay off each month, but usually only spend 1-2K per month on it.

Could it be based maybe on your credit limit? Smaller limits have a smaller amount to buy? Or maybe your limit and how much you have on the card? I have a 14K limit and got the $1,000 deal.

We were just there in November and used our Visa card all over the park. Did not get any extra percentage that was noted on our statement. We did get the 10% discount on merchandise.

We also just received the 3X pin but we also need to spend the $3000 per month. Wish we had the offer last month during the holidays!
