I just got the Disney Rewards Visa card from Chase bank. One of the main reasons I got this card was because often times Disney Visa cardholders get first dibs on the new promotions that come out. I'm anxiously awaiting the announcement of a free dining promotion for September. Does anyone know how Disney notifies Disney Visa cardholders when this promotion is released? Will they send me a letter in the mail? I don't know if Chase has my email address. Also, I'll have to switch my current reservation to the new promotion when (if) it comes out, so I won't be putting anymore money on it because it will most likely be prior to my final payment date. Does anyone know if this will be a problem?

Thanks for your help!

I'm a Disney visa holder. I got an e-mail last year I think. Also, this site always seems to have the latest offers and mousesavers does too.

I have the Visa too and I heard that they'll annouce it to Visa holders in April. :goodvibes

I get the Free Dining code here on the DIS way before I ever get the email from Disney Visa. If you have a room only reservation right now, then you will have to cancel that reservation and do a package to receive the free dining discount. If you already have a package then all you have to do is call the morning the code comes out and have it added to your reservation. You will have to have at least a $200.00 deposit made on the reservation with the Disney Visa to qualify.

Same here, I got it from email. So, just wait the email informing you about it.

Have a nice and safe trip coming. :)

Since this is a Codes and Rates Topic I am moving this thread over there, but it looks like you got your answer.

Thanks, I was looking for this information too. Now off to go make sure they have my correct email.

You may not always receive an email notice.
Sometimes I do , and sometimes I don't. However if you frequently check the website they are listed there.
You will need to set up your account at www.chase.com/disney
and choose View Disney Offers once your account is loaded.
Once you set all of this up you can manage you Rewards Points from here as well.

Disneyrewards.com. It shows all credit card offers and advantages. I never get any emails from them and they have the correct email address. I just happen to see the FD offer to the general public last year and booked it.

I don't always get the email and I know they have my address because I get email statements. I usually hear about it first on here or on mousesavers.com. you can always log into your account with chase and check the disney rewards section too, they post offers there.

Its better to check the boards. I remember last year disneyrewards didnt post anything the first day it was avaliable...better yet just check everywhere:goodvibes

I have a question about the Disney Visa card... I applied for it Sunday night, how long does it usually take for a yes or no for acceptance?
I'm not sure I will get accepted because I'm in college and make minimum wage... but I only want to use it for gas to earn points! (and of course get discounts for WDW!)
Thanks! :goodvibes

Do you have a chase account? Because When I applied for one I was checking my accounts reliezed I was approved way before I got the letter.
Dont remember how long it was until I got the letter, maybe 2 to 4 weeks
Good luck:goodvibes

lthiesfeld07- when I got one for my son when he turned 18, you were able to use the household income to qualify- so if you still live at home, you should qualify that way!

Well I technically live at home, but I do live in the dorms at my college. For my income, I put down my part-time jobs as income. I am kind of nervous, but if I get denied, hopefully I can re-apply.
Wish me luck!

If you didn't put down your parents' income with yours there is unfortunately a pretty good chance you will get denied. :-( They are being really strict about it lately for some reason. My 24 year old sister recently applied for the disney visa -- she has great credit so that was definitely not the problem, she lives at home with my parents has a fully paid off car, only has one other credit card (store credit), and works full time but only makes like $23-24K per year. When she applied she only put down her own income. She was denied. :-( One of her friends works at a Chase branch so she went in to see him about it to see what was wrong. he told he she should have included her parents' income because she lives at home. He changed that on the application and also put down his name as "vouching" for her in some way that was supposed to help get the application passed. He called on Monday to say that she was approved and would receive her card in the mail in 5-7 days.

Hopefully you'll get it on the first try but if not don't give up!

Edited to add: My sister was very excited to get her card in the mail today, however they gave her a $500 credit limit!! I spend more than that on mine every month!! I guess credit just isn't flowing as freely as it used to be -- not that that's always a bad thing!!
