Does anyone here know, can Disney Rewards "dollars" be used to pay for the actual hotel room? I'm not talking about Key to the World charges; we never do that. I'm talking the rack-rate room fee. I'm getting vague answers when I search. Thanks!

I just called yesterday and applied my Visa Disney Reward points to my trip. I would assume this would work with rooms because ours is a package that includes room, tickets and dining.

Anything you can pay for with a Disney Gift Card. I've done meals, rooms, snacks, souveneirs, etc. One year, I used my Rewards to pay tips on the DDP. That was awesome!

You will (I believe) have to transfer the rewards to a card and then you pay with the card.

We were there last year and when checking in, I paid for our room with a Disney rewards gift card. They simply applied the card to my balance...it was simple and no problem at all! Just make sure that you have your points transferred to a card. :goodvibes

Thanks, I was wondering about this.

When you order your Rewards card and transfer your dollars to it, you can use the card for your deposit, or you can use it to make payments on a package (due in full 45 days before arrival) or when you check in to pay the balance due on a room-only reservation. You can use the Rewards card in the parks at restaurants, gift-shops and for special events like tours and recreation.
