Disney rewards preferred parade seating

Has anyone used the preferred parade seating/standing that you get when booking your vacation with your Disney Rewards visa? If yes, where is this area usually and how big is it? We are trying to get an idea if it is worth it to use this 'perk' or not. We'll have a 1 1/2 year old with us as well as a 4 year old and some adults.

Our family used this in Nov. 2008. It was a small section roped off just by IASW. It was nice spot. The parade stopped at that section. There was no seats. Just a curb. It was a little crowded. We still needed to get there about 30 min ahead of time to get a front row position. It was a first come, first served deal. I don't think it was a huge perk. I think we could of got just as good seats, if not better, by just showing up.

I mainly was hoping it was a decent 'perk' as I hate having to 'camp' a spot for a parade. I didn't know how frantic it would be to find a spot in December. Thanks for the info!
