Disney Rewards - Only 4 Restaurants at MK?

The most current Disney Rewards Theme Park Benefits brochure only lists Crystal Palace, Cosmic Ray's, Casey's Corner, and the Liberty Tree Tavern as Redemption Locations. Does this mean these are the only 4 places at the MK that accept the card.

Similarly, Epcot only lists 5 places that accept the card.

If this is the case I may have to redo my plans.

Can anyone clarify this?

yes! Thats exactly what it means. My DH has a Disney Visa and the Disney rewards program guide clearly states that the restaurants you have stated in the MK and a selected few at the other parks are rewards redemption locations for the disney dream reward dollars. I hope I was a little help.

Can you charge the meal to your room and use the rewards card to pay for your bill there? I know we used our rewards dollars at our resort last trip, but I havent read the guidlines recently.

yes you can just charge your meal to your room and pay with the rewards card. We did that last year.

WOW. When did this go into effect? I was just there 5/1-5/6 and used my Rewards card all over the place, including lunch at Columbia Harbor House at MK. It's always been accepted at every cash register within WDW in hte past.

Not to beat a dead horse, but there still seems to be some debate here. Can you use the REWARDS Card, not the VISA card, for counter type food at the Disney Parks?

I have over $1200 saved on my card and would like to use it for food at the parks. I'm staying at Shades of Green and I'm told that I can't use it there for my room charges, nor can I use it at Shades of Green to purchase park tickets. (I'd like to buy my tickets at Shades of Green due to the cheaper price and no tax). That kinda leaves meals and souvenirs as my only options for this money. I tried to use it for advance tickets to Cirque de Soiel, but they would not take it.

Yep, the Rewards card, NOT the Visa. I never bother keeping ther receipts for it, so I can't remember all the palces, but definitely CHH and some other counter service meals, and maybe a gift shop, too. I've used it like that for the past 4 years, so I'm really surprised if there are new restrictions.

We're going to Disney for the first time in September and had planned to use our rewards card for some snacks and meals, and especially for gift shopping. I had no idea that it wouldn't be accepted everywhere in the parks. Does anyone know shops that either do or do not accept the rewards card points?

Wow, glad I found this thread. We plan on doing the same thing. I just figured all shops would accept it. I guess I need to research this.

I am a DVC member so I am not "paying" for my room, & I am doing the dining plan, so I will use the rewards im restaurants. Do you think I can use my rewards to pay for the dining plan?

Notice that the link listed above says "Most Popular Disney Rewards Redemption Locations..." Maybe this implies that other eateries accept it to?

I don't believe we've gotten to the bottom of this. Sure would be nice he we could email someone at Disney Rewards, but I have yet to see a link to them.

What a lame answer! But what did I expect...........

Dear Ms,

Unfortunately, a complete listing of rewards redemption locations does
not exist but the listing you mention from the website does cover many
locations. The Disney Rewards Card is accepting by most Disney-owned
and operated merchandise, dining and recreation locations. When in
doubt, it is always a good idea to ask before making your purchase.

why do they make this so confusing??? It's all Disney, so it boggles my mind why we'd be limited as to where we can spend the mone y!!!
