I just received a package in the mail explaining the benefits, etc...
Am I reading this correctly that there are only certain stores/dining that are "rewards redemption locations"?

In MK
Shopping=Emporium, Pirates Bazaar, Fantasy Faire and Briar Patch
Dining=The Crystal Palace, Cosmic Ray's, Casey's Corner and Liberty Tree Tavern

In Epcot
Shopping=Mousegears, Imageworks, Goebel, The art of disney and Sea Base Alpha
Dining=Les Chefs de France, Akershus, Le Cellier Steakhouse, Rose and Crown, and San Angel Inn

I wont bore you with the rest, but I am bumming out because I have over 1100 and I am not leaving until NOV, I had planned to use the rewards to purchase the 10 day ticket and the rest for dining, but I am disappointed to see you can only use it at select places.

I got the same thing. I did notice that you could apply it to "room charges" at the resorts.

So if all else fails, apply it to your room charges, then charge things to your room. That's what we have always done anyway.

Now, if you are staying off site, that's a different issue.

This is what we do every year just charge everything to the room then mid-week we pay it down with whatever we have on the rewards card.

Remember you don't have to transfer everything on the card as well. You could do just $500 and if you need more then do it over the phone.

The reward points in the bank (so to say) have a few years before they expire where the ones on the card (transfered) expire with the card (normally the following year on DEC).

We used our Rewards card in January, and we weren't turned down anywhere. I'm trying to think where we used it...We used it at Alfredos, in most of the countries in Epcot for wine and beer (if they sold wine or beer!), at the WL bar, the WL Mercantile, the girls' princess shop (Tinkerbelle's?) in Fantasyland and the shop right across from it, the Emporium, which I see that you mentioned, some little shop in Tomorrowland (Mickey's Star something?), Mousegears, some other little shop in Epcot at the border of WS and Future World. That's off the top head.

If you are staying on-site, you could use it to pay for the room.

I called Disney Visa and asked, so you could do that and see what they say.

Thank you all. I was really hoping we could use it at Bippity
Boppity Boutique. We are staying off site and I got an AMAZING deal, I am only paying $135 for a 3 bedroom unit at the Fairfield Star Island Resort. We are staying for 2 weeks and I am really trying to stretch my dollars, lol. We wanted to do Cinderella's castle for my daughters birthday and that is not on the list. Chef Mikey's is though and we were planning on that too. I am sure I will use all the rewards I have, I am just disappointed that it is yet another thing I have to research, as to who takes it and who doesnt.

I was looking at the same brochure today. At the bottom, it did say that was not a complete list of all participating locations.
