I vaguely recall in the past having trouble getting a refund for an item back on my Disney Rewards card. I usually use it for souvenirs and such, and I seem to recall having an experience with a return where the cashier said, "You can usually return this item, but I have to refund it to the original method of payment, and I can't refund to a Disney Rewards Card." I don't mean the Visa itself, I mean the rewards card.
So last night I sat down to order my tickets to MNSSHP, and I thought it would be great to pay for them this way. I even put $300 in rewards on the card. Then just before I pressed "submit" to order the tickets, I thought, I wonder if using this is a bad idea. I know that the tix are not supposed to be refundable, but I see stories here about emergency cancellations (not for weather or anything like that, but illness or budget reasons to cancel a trip) and the party tix were refunded or credited. Am I losing that option if I use the Disney Rewards card? Or am I just overanalyzing all the possibilities? (You can tell me that, I can take it, I hear it from my DH all the time!)
Since the $ is already on a card that will expire next year, maybe I should just do it, because the risk of the party selling out and my kids murdering me is greater than the risk that we will cancel.
Thanks!

I honestly don't know how Disney would handle this situation. I have heard of Disney refunding $$$ due to weather or issuing credit but I am not sure they would do the same if you had to cancel your trip. That might fall under
