Disney Rewards Card question

We just signed up for the Disney Visa with the $200 Reward bonus. After reading through the fine print, I know that we cannot use the Rewards to pay on the balance of the card. I just want to make sure that we use it to its best benefit.

Can I use the $200 rewards as a partial payment on a trip? We have only put down the deposit, so the trip is not charged to the Visa.

Yes, you can. Once the rewards points are credited to your account, you will need to request a rewards card be sent to you. This can be done online (there's a link on Chase's website) or over the phone (call the number on the back of your Disney Visa). Once you get the rewards card, call Disney and tell them you want to make a payment on your trip with the Disney Rewards.

Also, make sure you keep the rewards card itself in case you cancel your trip. Those reward dollars will be transfered back to the card used.

That way those dollars are not "lost" forever

All rewards card have an expiration date, and the money on them will expire on that date if not used.
