Can you get a FD Pkg only purchasing 2 day passes for AP holders with the Disney Rewards Card code? I know Disney only makes AP holder buy 2 day passes for FD with GP FD, but this is my first year with a Disney Rewards Card.
Thanks.

the FD package that you are talking about is just a disney visa discount....what I usually do is book a FD package using my visa and then when I go to Disney I don't use my 2 day pass and use my AP....then when it is time to renew my AP...I use the 2 day pass towards the total price of renewal....in conclusion you don't lose out on the price of the 2 day pass.:)

So let's say Disney Visa comes out with free dining before a GP FD comes out.
I wouldn't be required to by more than a 2 day pass if I'm an AP holder with the DV offer?

you don't even have to mention that you are an AP holder....all that is required is at least 2 days....so just book the package with a 2 day pass....no park hopper and save those days towards your AP renewal (Do not use the tickets that are on your room key use your AP when you go into the parks). You get FD and when your AP needs to be renewed you go to guest services and tell them there is a 2 day pass that you would like to put towards your AP renewal...remember to put your room key away in a safe place...that is where your 2 day pass will be...sometimes you can get the 2 day separated from your room key...you can try that, but I always keep it and just use it later...I just did this in March, but I had several days saved so by the time they put all my unused days towards my AP I only payed $175 for my renewal.....awesome!

I thought you could only trade in 1 ticket toward each ticket upgrade. Is there a way around this?

That is the rule. If someone experienced better than that, it was pixie dust. One to one upgrades are the rule.

They let me do it in March....usually I only do one but I had them for a couple of years and they let me do all of them. I guess it was just luck. I thought it was okay to use all of them since it was my first time using a few of them....I guess good for me.:woohoo:

Actually I do have to mention AP. We only want the 2 day min. Passes, but our room will be for 6 nights. They don't make pass holders buy tickets for the whole stay, just 2 day passes.:cool1:

No one on free dining needs tickets for the whole stay, if that's what you meant. It's two day minimum for everyone for free dining.

Wow, didn't realize that. Kinda seems that would negate some of the profit margin for Disney, but I'm not complaining.;)

They make their money by making you pay rack rate for the hotel.

So getting the tickets separated from you room key is hit or miss? I thought you could always request a tyvek ticket if you preferred.:confused3

It just seems like that....I try to do it all the time....but sometimes the CM just tells me to hold on to the key....so sometimes I can get it separated and other times they tell me just leave it on the room key

I was refused at the Poly once as well. They actually acted like it was not possible or I was a bit crazy, so I just let it go. Wasn't worth the hassle.
