Disney Rewards and Down Town Disney?

I was wondering if anyone knows if resturants like Earl Sandwhich,rainforest etc except the disney rewards card for payment? I think all of the disney resturaunts take them but want to make sure.

I would check about Rainforest Cafe. In July we tried using ours at the Biergarten and they wouldn't take it. I'm going to try to use it at a Disney Store before our trip in September to make sure it was the fact that the "Biergarten" wasn't "Disney" as opposed to the card not working. I'm wondering if Rainforest Cafe would be associated with the chain and therefore not take the Disney Reward Dollars.

We were in Disney last month and ran into this problem several times with the rewards card. Many shops and restaurants are not owned by Disney and therefore do not accept the rewards card. What we found that many establishments are posting a sign by the register that says they accept the rewards card. The good news is that we found a way to spend all of our reward dollars. I beleive the Earl of Sandwich is not a part of Disney.

I assume you mean the places that wouldn't except them were all in Downtown Disney? I understand they are good everywhere in the parks is that correct? Do Downtown Disney establishments take disney dollars?

I used my rewards card in the Basin Store (love the salt scrub!).

I was told the rewards card can be used in the restaurants that are OWNED by Disney. I was assuming that meant all the park restaurants, except for the Rainforest Cafe. I know that there are many restaurants in DTD that are not Disney owned, but what's this about the Biergarten?? Are the restaurants in World Showcase owned by the individual countries, some other 3rd party, Disney or does it depend on the restaurant?

I wonder if you were staying on-site if you could charge the purchases/restaurant charges to your room at these "non-disney venters" and then pay with your rewards card at check-out???
