We are leaving in 6 weeks- YAY! Does anyone know how long it takes to receive your rewards gift cards? I'm holding out so I can get as much money as I can on it but don't want it to come in the mail to late.:rolleyes1

I think it takes about 10 days to get the card. But,there's no need for you to wait. When you order the card just have them transfer a small amount of your rewards dollars to it. Once you have the card you can trasfer the rest of your dollars at any time. You can do it online, or you can call the number on the back of the rewards card. They get transfered right away, so no waiting.

Hope that helps!

I transferred the miniumum $10.00 to a new card just so I could order the card. The card took about a week and a half to get here. Our trip is in September so I will wait and transfer the rest of my points until right before we go. You can do all of that online.

EDIT - Sorry HockeyMomNH we must have been posting at the same time. Didn't mean to repeat everything you just said.

We have always gotten ours on our first day at the MK Guest Services. You can go to the desk, they call Visa, and they load the card with your money right there. We prefer to do that rather than waiting for it to come in the mail.

Have fun!

Yeah transfer the minimum then last minute transfer the rest via phone thats what I do.

We also just went to guest services the first day at the park and they gave us the card and we then called right there to have it put on. We walked right out of the building and used it to buy pins.

I did it this way, too. Yes it is just that easy.

A couple of years ago we had our points post while we were at Disney. We had those points transferred to the rewards card and used them during that trip. Just get the card and you're set.

Wow I had no idea you could do that! I ususally do it before we go and then just transfer the points but that is a lot easier. thanks for that tip!:thumbsup2

This is how we did it for my daughter's card when we went in April and it was painless, fast and easy :dance3: We did it in DownTown Disney and were good to go and shop :yay:
