Disney Reward Dollars, how to they calculate it?

How is it that I earned 46.23 worth of Disney Reward dollars for purchases that totaled only $4569.80?
I would think that I should have only earned like 45.70 worth of reward dollars. It seems that each month I earn just a little more than the 1%.

Do you have regular or premier? The premier has some categories that count as 2%.

Is there anything that you purchased then returned? That could make your totals off for a month or two, too.

Regular. No returns last month.

You received more than 1% so I would just go with it. LOL These are the things I don't try to pretend I understand. I just look at the total and say nice that's a free 10 day park hopper or that's a couple QS meals.

Mine has always been a little higher too, just a few cents each month since our bill is just a few hundred dollars. It looks to me that they calculate each charge separately and round up .50 and higher. So if a lot are charges end in the .50 and up range but not close to a dollar it looks like I'm getting more than just the 1%.
