So I sent an email to Disney this morning regarding my concerns about the Anna and Elsa meet and greet. I let them know that we had a trip scheduled in June and I was very concerned that if there were four hour waits and stampedes at this time, what will it be like in June during the busy season? I also expressed my concern over being unable to get a Fast Pass+ even at 12:01 a.m. on the 60 day mark. Here is the reply I got less than 2 hours later:

Dear Lisa,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort. *I understand
your concerns, but please allow me to try to set them at ease!

Mid-to-late April is actually a very busy time at Walt Disney
World®--especially during Easter week, when Anna and Elsa arrived at
Magic Kingdom® Park. *Wait times to meet them have indeed remained long
since they arrived on Easter Sunday, but they have not reached the peak
times that you correctly point out happened on their Magic Kingdom® Park
debut.

Also, while it is indeed more difficult to obtain a FastPass+® to meet
Anna and Elsa than is for some other attractions, we are still testing
FastPass+® and it is ever-changing! *In fact, a few days after Anna and
Elsa arrived at Magic Kingdom® Park, we determined that we would be able
to grant more FastPass+® for them and opened up more availability.
While it is best to book an Anna and Elsa FastPass+® as early as
possible to ensure that you get the most convenient FastPass+® schedule
for you, we do still have guests who are able to obtain this FastPass+®
option far sooner than 60 days in advance.

Please also do remember that even if FastPass+® is not available, your
daughter will still be welcome to meet Anna and Elsa through our standby
queue!

I highly recommend that you link your tickets to your My Disney
Experience account and look into booking the FastPass+® for Anna and
Elsa once you reach the 30-day window for ticket-only, or the 60-day
window for resort stays. *You can link your family's tickets here:https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/link/tickets-passes/

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact
us. *Have a magical day!

Sincerely,

Cornelia Fernandez

So did it put your mind at ease to find out you could still meet them through the standby line? :sad2:

That said, I'm not sure what they could have said to help.

If I were you, honestly, I'd make and ADR for at least you and your daughter at Crystal Palace, pay the no-show penalty, and line up at the Fantasyland rope instead.

I'd do the same thing if I was taking a child to go and see them. Seems safer and a lot easier than your other options.

I'm most concerned that they didn't mention the RD stampedes. That kind of activity is going to get someone injured. To say nothing of the apparent fights and mob situation once you get the the M&G location.

Obviously Disney couldn't say much more about FP+ availability & option of standby, but they could and should have said that they are planning on how to increase capacity so that the currently dangerous situation is alleviated.
