Disney Resorts featured on travel channel

I have read that the travel channel is featuring specials on the Grand Floridian, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Beach & Yacht Club, coming up in March. My problem - the travel channel is not available in my area. Does anyone know of a way I can get a taped copy of these shows? I know the obvious is to ask people I know but I have done that and no one has it. It kills me to know I will miss these shows. We love Disney so much. Does anyone know of a way to receive a copy of these shows? I would be willing to pay for it. If anyone would like to tape and send to me, let me know. I would pay for it. Thanks!

I can't exactly help you but this will bump your post up. I never knew there was a travel channel (guess I shouldn't be surprised). Doesn't everything eventually end up on ebay?

When is the show to air? I would love to help you if I am available on the day or night that is on. Let me know and I will try and tape it. I am not making any promises because I work outside of the home and I run the rugrats around town. I would be glad to help if I can.

to Big Dadda: Thank you for your kind offer, but finally, I found someone where I work that has the travel channel and will tape for me. I appreciate your trying to help. Anyway, I hope you are able to enjoy these shows yourself. The dates are: March 11, 11:30am for the Grand Floridian, March 11, 3pm for Animal Kingdom Lodge, March 19, 3pm for the Beach & Yacht Club. Wow that is really cool! Even though Mickey76 and I aren't staying at any of them in the near future it would still be cool to catch a glimpse!!!!!! Hopefully we'll remember to tape it Thanks for the info......and if CSR is ever on there...........let us know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In our area, these shows already aired. You do have to see them. Like I'm not already addicted to Disney, the morning after seeing the third show, which I taped and watched twice, we booked another trip to Disney World.

The hostess, Samantha Brown, really grows on you, and points out little details that you just can't wait to go check out for yourself. She definitely captures the magic. These are really great shows. Don't miss them.

Why not go to the Travel Channel website and check to see if you can order copies directly from them?

The Travel Channel is owned by the Discovery Channel. I think the Discovery Channel sells tapes of their shows.

These probably wouldn't be cheap (maybe $19 for a 1/2 hour show), but may be the only way you can obtain these.

I'm surprised people don't have the Travel Channel. It's been on our old cable system for years and is on Direct TV (that we have now). It's a good station!

Thanks Dodie for the link to the travel channel..I also found other dates and times...AKL on 3/13 @ 11:30, and Beach Club on 3/21 @ 11:30. Also found a one hour special about Disneyland Paris on Sun. 3/17 @ 2pm! Travel channel is on Directv #277. I can't wait to watch these since I'm planning to stay at AKL and BC in June!!
