Disney Resorts And Hotwire

Hi Gang

I've never used Hotwire. I went on their site about 2 weeks ago and progressed through getting a hotel booking until I had to put in my credit card info.

I have a couple of questions. This Hotwire thing seems very hoaky. I mean you have no idea what you are bidding on and you're asked to enter your CC information. It even states that when it finds a reservation to book it bills your card automatically. Sheesh what's to stop them from booking you in at the lonely motel without a pool on International Drive (when you were thinking of getting a luxury Disney hotel at a great price).

I guess my real question is has anyone ever used this service with any luck booking Disney (or Swan/Dolphin) resorts? Also am I the only one who feels VERY hesitant in not really knowing what your buying before giving our your personal CC information to Hotwire?

Just wanted your opinions.

I've used Hotwire twice and got the Dolphin both times because I went to this site for help-

They tell you what icons belong to the different hotels so you basically know what you're getting before you pay.

Disney hotels don't show up on it but both the Dolphin and Swan do. I received the Dolphin for around 100.00 both times.

Heading to Dolphin on Saturday on a Hotwire ressie. Here's another hint.... look for airfare PLUS hotel. In that case, they don't disclose the airline or flight times, but do give you the hotel. You can pretty much match up the hotels to the non-disclosed ones. Of course, I took the airfare to guarantee the Dolphin, but I got a good deal on that, too!

None of the WDW owned resorts are available on Hotwire. The Swan and Dolphin are available, but they are the only on-property resorts you'll find. Use the website listed above for tips.
