We plan to stay at Hilton Head, SC at the Disney resort for 6 days (after flying into the SAV airport), starting on Sunday Mar 13 (the flights were sold out on March 12 - the start of our stay at the Disney resort - the week which we got in exchange for another resort through Interval International). We plan to drive to Altanta on Sat March 19, and then stay there, until we fly out from Atlanta on March 21.
We would like to rent a car in Savannah, and drop it off in Atlanta. It seems from various searches on various travel booking engines, that 2 separate car rentals in Savannah, and in Atlanta, add up to a much lower costs (where we drop off the car in the same location that we pick up the car), than getting one car rental at Savannah, and dropping it off in Atlanta - suggesting that there is a drop off fee.
The questions are if there is any mechanism to spare the drop off fee. Another option would be to go from Savannah to Altanta using a transporation modality other than a rented car (there are 3 of us; two adults and one child).
