Disney Resort Guests to Have Access to Additional Dining Reservations

OK, I had another thought. I changed my party size and some other times showed up. Apparently they don't like parties of 2 at Chef Mickey and other locations do. With a party of 4, some other times did come up.

Sorry to confuse. Still really surprising not to see anything for a party of 2 at 60+10. My hunch is they are holding out a lot of inventory.

This is great insight. We’re all trying to roll with the punches here and help each other so no need to be sorry.

I'm staying at BCV in December and did my ADRs this week. I saw a decent amount of availability for Beaches and Cream for any time of the day. This was at 60+1 and 2.
So if there is that much availability for Christmas week (peak season) then they are holding back a huge chunk.

The resort dining should be grouped by vicinity (eg all monorail resorts) IMHO one can only do Ohana so many days without exploding. I think they will eventually tweak it but it’s good to know whats going on. I would have loved Topolinos for breakfast and Ohana looks mediocre (for breakfast).

It's not a lot of availability (peak dinner times are gone so only 4-4:45 left. Breakfast has more options - didn't even know B&C did breakfast) but yeah they are definitely holding back a decent amount.

I will say that the second half of my split stay is at AKL and it's slim pickings in terms of availability. Obviously no Boma but I haven't seen Sanaa pop up once and Jiko has 1-2 times available.

I did see Topolino's dinner show up and I grabbed it for my Epcot day so that was a nice surprise! Also agreed about Ohana breakfast. We were going to go but my family looked at reviews and decided to skip it.

Same, it’s frustrating because so many of our plans revolve around it and I really didn’t think dining at the resort I’m sleeping in would be so hard!

Actually, the ADR booking system is known for not liking parties of fewer than 4. It’s not unusual for there to be “no availability” for parties of 1,2,3 but plenty for parties of 4. Same for odd numbers - no tables for 5 or 7, lots for 6 or 8.

So if you can’t find a time for 2, check for 4, routinely!

PS there’s no penalty for showing up with fewer people, except for packages like fireworks dining. In that case, book what you can get online, then call to reduce to the actual number.

And with some restaurants, it’s the opposite! I couldn’t get a table for 4 at Space 220 Lounge. I was able to get 2 tables of 2 🤦‍♀️

They’ll either seat us together or the siblings get a break from each other

We have eaten at Boma 3 times without ADR's at busy times.

I believe the longest wait we had as walk ups was about 45 minutes and we waited in Victoria Falls.

Sci- Fi Drive In & Space 220 Lounge are the only park ones I had trouble with, and asking for just 2 solved Space 220

I can’t seem to find any Fantasmic packages, but 60+1 probably made that hard

Did get BOG, CRT, a dessert party, Oga’s, Cellier, Tiffins, Jiko, Liberty Tree & Skipper Cantina

Still looking for Sanaa, Boma, Starlight Safari & Sci Fi. But it’s gonna be an amazing trip no matter what 😍

What have people been finding, when trying to book restaurants at the hotels now? If you are staying onsite, are you still okay at the 60 day mark?

I tried to get Chef Mickey's today at 60 + 2 and could only get 12:20. Hopefully they open up better times soon.

At least at Chef Mickey, what's available to book right now seems really reduced.

I get that. I have booked a ton of ADRs for a party of 2 countless times through the years. Never saw no availability for big blocks of time like I am seeing for Chef Mickey. It's fine, I booked for more and that's fine. I just think it's an indication of reduced availability right now with them holding back inventory.

I guess I shouldn't be shocked though. ADRs were challenging already with reduced capacity in some places, and some places not open at all. And especially with it all at 60 days. Then if you hold back some of the inventory, people are going to feel it on booking day. Even at 60+10.

I’ve been unsuccessful finding anything at Boma or Sanaa.

I did get Jiku

Those are the only ones I’ve tried

I've been trying to book Olivia's for Thanksgiving Day since our 60 day window opened up We are staying there for 3 days and would like to eat at our home resort but though I've checked multipole times a day the only places that show up are the same Disney Spring places. Obviously the keeping some out for hotel guests either isn't working or they haven't dropped them yet.
