I am PTA president of an elementary school in Southern Oregon and am excited to offer a Disney Raffle basket to our school. We are starting the promotion at our Disney-inspired Family Craft Night ending it with our Family Movie Night that will feature a Disney movie. Needless to say, our PTA has gone dizzy for Disney. This is what happens when your PTA President is obsessed with all things Disney.

I am happy to say that we got (4) 1-day Disneyland Park Hoppers donated by Disney. This is the bulk of our basket. I am trying to do this as low cost as possible. This was a "Hey I think I can get this done" moment so there isn't really money in the budget for it. We do our main fundraiser in the Fall. Hoping to earn a couple thousand to help upgrade our P.E. balls.

I have also added a $50 Disney Gift Card, a $25 Starbucks Gift Card, 2 button/lanyards & luggage tags I had left over from our last trip. I was going to include a list of the fun apps we use. Going to include money for 12 pressed pennies and the list where to get them. I am also going to add a Hidden Mickey book too. I have a request in to Rainforest Cafe for a gift card. Hopefully we get that one too.

Anyone have any other suggestions for no/low cost items I could put in the basket? I was thinking maybe a map of the parks. Was hoping to get an autographed photo of a character but I guess they don't send those anymore.

Would love to hear what you all think.

Some maps of DLR? Buttons (the free ones) if someone can help you get those? Some Disney-themed reusable shopping bags (check Targets $1 spot in the front of the store).

I thought DLR still sent autographed pictures of the characters.

I like the idea of the gift cards -- and you can even expand on that to include gift cards to more places in Downtown Disney (Haagen-Dazs, Jamba Juice, Earl of Sandwich, Jazz Kitchen, etc.).

In the past, if you contacted the Walt Disney Travel Company (there is an office located in Downtown Disney), they would mail out their yearly Disneyland Resort info book -- it's a paperback book with the rundown of all the lands in the parks, and also the hotels (it's aimed at people planning vacations). I don't know if they still mail it out. Since it's free, I always like to get a copy for each year if I can. That would be a cool thing to throw into the basket.

You can create and receive a free Disney Side decal -- HERE -- and toss that in. Disney will only mail you one free decal, but you can download others.

Check with Walt Disney Travel Company and see if you can get vouchers for the trading pin and lanyard they give out with the vacation packages.

Luggage tags?

Glow sticks- you can get these at the dollar store.

If you visit the creative board on the forum, you can download pages and make up a couple of autograph books really inexpensively.

If you have discount stores near you, you can create iron on shirts for very little cost.

When is your fundraiser? I may be able to come up with some stuff for you. I will be going next weekend.

LOVE all of the ideas! Thank you everyone.

Our fundraiser will start February 20th and end March 13. Would love some maps or buttons. Just let me know if that is a possibility<edited>.

Please note that there can be no exchange of money, so posts above have been modified.

What about adding Disney snacks to the basket? I know they have several different characters in fruit snacks. And with all the Valentine candy coming out, I know there will be Disney themed candy too at Target and Walmart. I'll be at Disneyland in 2 week. If there is anything I can bring back for you, just send me a PM. :)

I don't know if you have a Dollar Tree near you, but our Dollar Tree has lots of Disney goodies. Little washcloths, picture frames, pens, stickers and photo albums. Dollar items are a good way to bulk up a basket.

I have a bunch of buttons for you, and some lanyards and a couple of little notepads. Would you please message me with your address so I can get them to you this week?
