Have been to Disney many times and have never gone to Disneyquest. Is it worth it? What can be done there? Or is it better to take the money spent to get in and put it towards a park ticket? We are already going to be visiting all the parks, but would go back to one of the parks again. Any info is GREATLY appreciated!! THANKS

I like Disney Quest even though I am not much of a video game person. My DH and I went this past trip and enjoyed the Pirates ride, we like the Alien Invasion ride on the 5th floor, we also like the create your own roller coaster ride. We had the Length of Stay passes so DQ was included. If your family likes games there are allot of great ones to try. I would reccomend trying it at least once to see for yourself.

I also enjoyed Disney Quest the last time I went. I plan on going again, but it is included in my package. They have some cool virtual reality games. If it sounds like your kind of thing I would give it a try.

My wife and I (late 40s) loved Disney Quest last year, and we plan to go during our visit next month. They had one room full of "old time" video games that we really enjoyed (old Pac Man, etc). The build-your-own-roller-coaster was also great. I think we spent some 4-5 hours at Disney Quest.

Is it worth the price of addmission if you are NOT doing length of stay passed?

EDIT...meant to say we are not doing a lenght of stay pass.

WE DO QUEST MANY TIMES DURING OUR STAY. IT IS A NICE BREAK FROM THE PARKS, AND THE GAMES ARE LOADS OF FUN. OUR LENGTH OF STAY PASSES INCLUDED EVERYTHING FROM QUEST TO WATER PARKS TO WWOS. I THINK IT IS MORE THAN WORTH IT.

:sunny: A must go. I don't do video games, just not my style. I went along w/my family, dh, dd10, dd8 and dd5 at the time and I loved it!! I would not miss it cuz it is very cool. Virtual reality rides, like the pirate ship, rafting and much much more. We'll be there on our next trip coming up shortly.

You can get a great discount on the tickets by signing up for the newsletter on mousesavers.com The newsletters come out the 15th of the month and have good savings on them.

Go, you'll be glad you did :sunny:

I never play video games at home, but DS and DH do. We go to Disney Quest every trip for the whole day. We have so much fun doing the virtual reality things together! It's a great place, once we get there we never want to go, we've had a lot of laughs in there!

How long should be allotted for DisneyQuest? I originally thought we might spend a couple hours there, but now I am reading whole days? What would you suggest and are there any must-sees there?

We have been to Disney Quest 2 times and each time we spent at least 4 hours. I look at it as a Half day park. On this past trip we did MGM in the morning and went to Disney Quest in the afternoon around 4pm. There was hardly anyone there because all the parks are still open until at least 7and 9 pm. So we got to do everything we wanted to do with minimal wait times. I'd say going in the morning when they open would be a good time to go also. You could sleep in since they open later than the parks do.

DD 18 and her BF, dh and myself no kids.
I was planning to go early to DQ and then around lunch go back to villa and swim, relax. then later go back to DQ, get some supper and then go to PI. We've never been to DQ but I figure 2 eighteen yr old will enjoy it. Does that sound like a good plan?

That sounds like a great plan to me. DW and I are going to do DQ for the first time when we go in Jan. Never really wanted to try it before because we didn't think it was for us, but after doing some research both of us can't wait. We really want to play the PofC game, this was DW favorite movie.

When we were in WDW last week the parks closed most nights a 7pm. We stayed for 7 days and 3 nights out of the 7 my 2 sons and GF's kids and DH went and closed the place down each night at 11pm. They enjoyed it alot

We actually made a day of DisneyQuest. We went in the AM, played until noon, got some lunch and went back to the room for a nap and then went back in the evening before Pleasure Island. I think we had our hand stamped to get back in.

BTW, some of the "games" made me a little queasy b/c I get motion sickness. But it was well worth the money, esp if you're staying at WDW for quite a while. It's something to do on a rainy day, too.

:sunny: DQ does not open until 11:30am and closes M-Thurs at 11pm and 12am on Fri & Sat. The Marketplace does open at 9:30am w/most of the resturants opening at 10:30am. :sunny:

Just don't go on a rainy day. It is on everyones' lists of must dos for rainy days and the place gets packed. Go on the sunniest day possible when it opens. No one will be there. Since there are no windows, you won't even realize what it's doing outside.
