Disney Quest

I've read mixed reviews about this and wondered if anyone could share their experiences? We're planning our first trip ever to WDW in early Dec, my ds (11) and husband love video games, and my dd (5) is also starting to like them.

Is it worth the money?

My dh is a video game freak, so he just had to try Quest. He said it was okay, but ot worth the money. There was a regular video game arcade in the Pop and the games at Inoventions in Epcot were enough to satisfy him, so next time we will save that money. I am glad I got him the ticket though. At least he got to try it out.

There used to be a DisneyQuest here in Chicago. We were so excited to have something "Disney" like that so close to home. We went. We found it to be dark, claustrophobic, loud, and expensive. It went out of business very quickly. I'm surprised the one at DTD is still open. Disney rarely makes mistakes, but DQ was one of them. I guess it stays open at DTD because it is Disney World.

We're going on our 6th trip to WDW in 7 years this coming July. There is so much more to do at WDW, that we still wouldn't even think of spending time or money at DQ. We go to DTD every year and love it...but we walk right past DQ with no interest.

We enjoy DQ (and didn't expect too because DH and I are not gamers, kids are) and we never pay full price to go...........we also go to WDW 3-4 times a year, so we don't have the need to do everything, every trip.

Being that it is your first trip............I think I would pass on it. If I had the time to spend there (we are usually there 5-6 hours), I would rather spend it at a big park. You will find there is so much to do at the big parks and your first time it is difficult to get it all done.
