I will be heading to Disney in October and will arrive around noon on our first day. In all the years of going to WDW I have never been to disney quest. From what I have read, with our UMP, we get in free and only pay for food and anything we "make"??? I was thinking this was a good afternoon plan then head to chef mickey's for dinner. Any info would be helpful...

I will be traveling with my 2 DS (11 and 13) and my DBF (42) who has never been to Disney!

Since it is included in your pass, I say try it. Your sons are probably the perfect ages to really enjoy it. My 16 year old son thought it was fun, but agreed that it wasn't worth the extra admission charge.

If your kids are into video games, they'll probably love it. My DH and DD really enjoyed the place and could have easily stayed a few more hours. I'm not into video games and really wasn't very happy there - UNTIL... I found the cheesecake! :D I went and got a piece of cheesecake and a coffee and sat down and people watched. That was fun.

I also did like Cyber Space Mountain. That was pretty cool. I was a little disappointed in the layout of DQ. It's kind of a "stacked" floor thing. Difficult to describe, but it can result in a very cramped place when the crowds are heavy.

All in all, if you have an UPH - check it out. I buy the UPH's just for the DQ access. My DD would flip if she had to miss it.;)

Is the UMP pass the military one? because that is what we will have and i just wanted to clarify something. definately correct me if i'm wrong but...
yes disney quest is free with that pass but wouldnt it eat up one of the 5 days on the pass?? it sounded to me like she had no intention of visiting a park that day.

thanks

We'll be doing Disney Quest on the last day of our trip, going from opening until we have to leave to catch our flight. So... I think it sounds like a great plan -- great minds thinking alike and all that. A warning though: when last I went to Diseny Quest, we stayed all day (we were seeing a concert at the House of Blues that night) and the crowd and noise levels were much higher as the day progressed. We actually left earlier than we had planned because it was giving my DW a horrible headache, which is not a good thing on your honeymoon! Of course we then went to a rock concert, but logic needn't apply, right?;) If your kids have a PlayStation, GameCube, XBox, GameBoy, etc. they'll love Disney Quest.

Your boys will love it, my nephews do (12 & 15).

They have a lot of virtual reality rides.

One of my favorites, is The Pirates of the Caribbean ride lets you captain a ship (a simulator that moves with the waves) and fight other pirate ships.

You can also create your own Space Mountain, pick what loops/tracks to have, then got into a simulator and ride what you've created. I've got to warn you though, my 11 y/o nephew created a Level 5 coaster that left his Uncle Scar a little pale at the end.

The also have Buzz Lightyear's Blasters, where two people get into covered cars and shoot basketballs at each other. One drives while the other shoots the cannon...it's a blast. If you hit the other car just right, it will spin "out of control" for a few seconds.

We spent a good 6 hours last time we were there and still wanted more time.

Hope you have a good trip!

36 days till we're back again!!!!

Sorry, it is the UPH not the ump... the length of stay pass. Thanks for the info. I will plan for 4 hours there then off to dine with mickey and friends....

Disney Quest is one the best kept "secrets" of WDW. We couldn't bring ourselves to leave. FUN!!!:jester:
